Have celiac.. I specifically drove to this restaurant due to the reviews/fact that they had a gf menu (drove over an hr). When I arrived I told the waitress I had an allergy and she pointed out the gf options on the menu (not amazing 5/6 rolls all just fish/fish rice nothing baked etc) ordered a few rolls and when they were brought out by another server l asked for gf soup sauce.. he brought me a small plate w soy sauce and I dipped a few pieces in it and ate them. I thought the taste was off so I stopped eating and after a while was able to flag down my original waitress who confirmed the soy sauce was not gluten free.. the only gf soy sauce they have comes in individual packets. I expressed my concern w having consumed some already but she didn't say much. A different waitress came to bring the bill and I expressed my concern to her as well.. she sympathized as she also has celiac .. but didn't offer to take anything off the bill. I basically drove way out of my way .. spent $80 to get glutened. I was in pain all night. Disappointing: (
They have a "gluten free" portion of the menu, only specialty rolls are included. I asked for a plate of just sashimi and the waitress said they couldn't promise it would be GF, and that the chefs also have no idea what's GF or not. So there's almost no way they have any clue how to prevent cross-contam.
