Holy sh*t YES.
If the manager was being straightforward, every fried item has its own dedicated fryer.
Searching for a place that is GF and Grain free is almost impossible. This place can make you ridiculously good burgers that fill you up for CHEAP!
For 13 dollars I got a burger on a HUGE bed of fried Brussels leaves (fried in dedicated fryer) topped with pesto, mushrooms, fried onions, and goat cheese. It was served in a HUGE metal bowl and I was stuffed.
You can also get a large bowl of GF sweet potato fries.
If you choose you can have a GF biscuit/bun for the burger, but the manager wasn’t sure if the flour was grain free or not. I don’t eat rice or corn products so I chose the Brussels and I’m glad I did.
Cmon 13 dollars in a major city for a deluxe burger salad? Get out of here.
Ate twice. Zero symptoms (I typically vomit with gluten).
I went here based on the food safety feedback and was really impressed. The food was great, they understood celiac and took precautions to make sure I understood what was and was not GF. I had a regular cheeseburger and fries (thin, crispy, salty, HUGE portion) and my non celiac kids had specialty burgers and their own order of queso fries. Their GF bun is more like a biscuit, but if you go in expecting that you will probably like it. Overall, I felt very safe and would definitely go again when I return to Dallas.
Great service, great food, gluten free buns were light and fluffy. No issues!
Favorite burger place. In house bun that is so soft and fluffy!! Their fries are safe too!
They told me that all the menu was gluten free and after a few questions they admitted that they fried macarroni and cheese in the same fryer I was really dissapointed when I discovered that I couldn't eat their fries. Be careful!
Love this place!!! And they have a dedicated fryer for their fries which are delicious!! Gf is different but sure is good!!
It's a bit pricey for a burger joint, but the eye for presentation and excellent farm-to-table flavors in the burgers and salads are well worth it. The gluten-free bun is very good too, made from a Bona Dea gluten-free flour mix. Be sure to order the East Austin Hard Cider, also gluten-free, which pairs great with the burgers and the truffle fries.
I love this place!!! They have a red flag tag that they fill out if you say you have a gluten allergy & give it to the kitchen staff. I always get the classic burger in a bowl with truffle fries. They have gf house made buns but I haven’t been brave enough to try them. The dedicated fryer makes this place even better.
I was served a regular gluten bun and told it was a GF bun at lunch today and now I’m very sick as I have celiac and cannot tolerate trace amounts of gluten let alone a full bun. Their safety protocols are not good for celiacs or people that need to eat gluten free. I ate here today due to a good experience at the one in Dallas but will not be back at this place in Tustin.
Best dining out experience I’ve had since being diagnosed. Separate gluten free menu, staff is super knowledgeable and special allergy tickets are submitted with orders. The gluten free bun is made in house, and is soft and delicious. Will definitely be back next time we’re in town!
the staff are really friendly about allergies, i will say though if you have an egg allergy, a lot of the kitchen staff does not know english and will still put mayo on your stuff so just make sure you let someone know that you cannot have mayonnaise. they are still so kind though and i’ve never had an issue with my gluten or dairy allergy. their chicken burgers are also so great for people who cannot have red meat!
