Food was excellent. The service was atrocious and they forced you to pay 20%, added up front to the bill very extremely poor service. It's also not a $$ restaurant as this app says. Expect $$$ to $$$$. I wanted the fish special and the waiter just said it's a fish from the Mediterranean. He said to order a steak, he doesn't eat fish. He wouldn't even tell me what the fish was or describe what it taste like. My wife and sister-in-law ordered a salad and the waiter made it very obvious he was disgusted with them for not ordering more. When it came time for dessert, they only offered coffee. You would think for a $200 tab, I'd get a little bit more civility and service. The waiter had a very bad attitude. The place wasn't vibrant, it was excessively noisy. It was so loud that the ladies could not carry on a conversation. I'm partially deaf, so all I could do is smile at them when they looked my way. I will never go back to that place. I don't advise you to go there if you're expecting good service for the money you're going to pay.
The atmosphere here is sublime. A wonderful experience. Most menu items can be made with a cheap gf corn pasta that is not great but improved by excellent sauce! Wait staff is sassy and not knowledgeable: charming but you'll need to ask careful questions. The second time I ate here I had the bolognese and was just fine: the boiling water is separate for pasta. The FIRST time I ate here I made the mistake of ordering a dish finished in the cheese wheel. He assured me he'd "cleaned" it (haha!) with a rag and I laughed and decided to eat it anyway: because what a fun experience!! Of course, I was sick the next day. The cheese wheel is not safe for celiacs! Otherwise, the vibe and pasta sauces make this an excellent stop. The menu does not list options, but they're there. Note that the rissotto is not gluten free. :)
I eat gluten free pasta ( de cecco penne) They make the sauce gluten free. Gluten free pasta that taste like gluten pasta.
