Hotel und Gasthof Neuwirt GmbH

We picked this restaurant at random because it was close to our Munich airport hotel and discovered that the staffer who greeted us seemed to understand GF needs! He stated that sauces can be thickened with potato starch but we should avoid brown sauces as beer is an ingredient. Ten days in Germany revealed a lack of awareness of GF needs. Our son has celiac and had no problem. Language is a barrier for us. There is no GF menu and the allergen menu reveals that all dishes have gluten but server said they can alter them. If I could have interviewed them further (language barrier), I might have given 5 stars. Everyone had a wonderful meal. Beautifully presented and a lovely atmosphere.
