Review of Hugo's

Hugo's probably has numerous options for those that are only gluten free, but for those that are also vegan, the menu is rather scarce. I was surprised that a "healthy" and "gluten free friendly" restaurant did not have gluten free versions of simple things such as pasta and bread. The food is of decent quality and the atmosphere is artsy. The main thing I should mention is that another waiter told me a few times that certain things (eg the bread basket) were gluten free. Had I not checked and checked and checked again, I might be in the hospital right now. We told another member of the staff who corrected the other waiters mistake but she was blatantly unapologetic. I somehow hoped people in a place like this would grasp the importance of those with special restrictions and allergies.
