Sauces I can have: sweet and sour only Soups. Egg drop. Lots of choices. Allergen menu is clear.
I went to HuHot with my Mom on lunch break. We both have allergies, so I was very skeptical of their safety practices. They were wonderful! As we went through the line, some of the sauces seemed to have things fallen in them (like drops of other sauces) and we could request fresh sauces from the back, we got gf soy sauce brought to our table. Then, The moment we stated that we had allergies, cooks marked off part of the grill and started cleaning. After extensively cleaning they brought out new and clean spatulas. Our food was cooked in the marked area and safely guarded from other foods. In addition, they have a very extensive allergen menu online for looking specifically. In addition to all of the precautions taken, the food turned out so fresh and amazing! We will be going back!

The MANAGER got my order wrong. His defense when I couldn't walk upright and began puking was that the gluten was low down on the ingredients list so he didn't think it counted.
No
HuHot does not have a gluten free menu but does have an allergen list and a list of gluten free sauces. Ask them to clean a spot on the grill and use different utensils, if necessary.
Love HuHot!! Lots of choices for gluten free!
Good food and they're very accommodating with cleaning the grill and using clean spatulas. Most of the really good sauces have gluten in them, but the Not So Sweet and Sour was really good.

Make your own stir fry! And customize your sauce! The grill guys scrub down the grill and use specified spatulas for your food. They are very nice about it. Tons of options to make a great meal. You won't leave hungry!

Had good food, was given a ‘special bow’ to signal food allergy, crew took care to clean grill before cooking my food and used clean utensils.

Unfortunately they must’ve changed their sauces. They used to all be gluten free but now only about 5 are. They still section off your meal on the grill and use new utensils when preparing!

I’ve been here a few times and always love it! Ask for an allergy bowl and they’ll give you a special yellow bowl to fill with your desired ingredients. You can choose whatever you like and everything is that is gf marked. Sometimes it’s marked with a “G” which confused me at first, but means gluten free. They also have recipe cards at the beginning of the line including a few gf recipes you can try!
The employees are very knowledgeable about allergies and I never have to ask them to clean anything. They see my yellow bowl and immediately clean and section off the grill so my food does not come into contact with anything else on the grill.

So this restaurant has notes in the menu (and in the bathrooms) about their various allergy protocols… they all sound nice, but fall short in practice. If you have any allergy, they’ll clean and reserve a section of the grill, and pull food direct from the kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. (yay!) And then the grill chefs toss the food all around and scrape their spatulas on the same gluten-covered surface where they scrape all of their other food. And really, how clean was that grill anyway? If you’re sensitive, this place seems like a disaster. Also, the food wasn’t very good, but that’s a whole other conversation…
