We’ve loved this place since half of our family has Celiac and there are so few places around Burnaby that can accommodate our diet restrictions. We’ve gotten take-out from there 7 or 8 times with no problems. However this last time my daughter got ill. Somehow her meal must have gotten cross-contacted with gluten. The rest of us were fine. She was ill for 4 days so we will be a little hesitant to go back. That said, the food is really good, and they’ve done well the other times so maybe we’ll try again? Edit: I tried again and I’m no longer comfortable eating here. I watched carefully as the person prepared the food and I noticed that she used the same spatula to mix the food as all the others. The spatulas are put back into a jar of water and reused. I had asked that a fresh one be used for mine since I was Celiac but she forgot. When I asked about it she immediately started a new bowl for me, this time with a fresh spatula. Given how I felt that evening though I think some cross-contact still happened. It seems the food handling is just too loose now to be safe for those with Celiac or allergies. I’m sad to say I won’t go back.

This is my go to when in metrotown. Eat there far to often and have never gotten sick: I have ceiliac disease. Almost the entire menu if gf. The staff are very hit and miss on if they understand cd and cross contamination, however because menu is almost exclusively gf you can be quite certain you meal will be gluten free. I do always still remind them upon ordering, referring to my cd as an allergy just so they are a bit more aware when handling my food. I do recommend this to anyone with cd as a safe place to go when visiting the food court.

I joined the celiac club 4 years ago and this was my first time eating poke at a restaurant since my diagnosis. Ordered 3 times over 3 days and it was delicious each time. And best of all, I didn’t get sick! Love this place

Some of tastiest poke in the area. Besides the Jerk, everyone of their poke options is gluten free. The protein options are also gluten free. Highly recommend it as an option for celiacs at the mall or looking for tasty meal of poke.

Delicious and fresh. Menu is labeled well for dietary restrictions. We were easily able to accommodate the vegetarian celiacs and the Vegan in our family. We’ll be back.
