I got very, very sick and spent the first day of vacation throwing up and diarrhea. The level of my reaction indicates the food I ate was not gluten free (not just cross contamination)
I ordered Belgian Waffle Platter (waffle, bacon, 2 eggs over easy) from the gluten free menu. I asked server if the gluten free food was cooked on a clean service, with different utensils and gloves. She said that oh yes the gluten free food is cooked separately and the manager was cooking it today. When my food arrived it looked amazing. I asked again if it was gluten free and the server said it was. The big fluffy waffle was delicious. Too delicious. I began throwing up, etc 2 hours later. So sick all afternoon and evening. I don’t know what happened. I’m calling the manager tomorrow. I don’t know what I could have done more to prevent this reaction - except never eat here again!
