They have “gluten friendly” pancakes which means they are not liable if they make you sick. I stopped eating here when I realized that bc I am sensitive so be cautious when eating at an ihop chain!
So excited that ihop now has gluten free pancakes! They only have them in plain but I used the table syrups and loved them with the blueberry. The pancakes are the softest lightest things you’ve ever had. With the blueberry syrup it was just like a blueberry muffin! Loved!

I ordered the gluten free pancakes and my server said they aren’t gluten free the GF means gluten friendly just a little gluten. So that just eliminated the pancakes. Was able to get eggs and bacon.
The gluten-friendly pancakes were amazing and I felt fine after eating here. It’s still a shared kitchen so no guarantee but I had a good experience
We’ve been here several times in the past few years since I found out they have gluten free pancakes. The staff is not super knowledgeable about certain food options safety if you make substitutions (burgers w/out the buns), so I stick to the stuff that is gluten free. If you go to Ihop’s website you can look more information up with ingredients. They call it “gluten friendly” because they do not guarantee that you can prevent cross-contamination (especially as a chain), but they have used separate stuff when I have gone in and been pretty good. Usually, I get the gluten friendly pancakes, hash browns, and bacon. I’ve not gotten sick.
Their gluten free pancakes are so fire and I never feel sick after! And you can usually ask for any kind and they’ll make it gluten free
Said they had only enough for one gf pancake. Don’t bother. Zero stars.
