My daughter with celiac loves inn&out. They are great with her allergy order and she has never gotten sick. We have eaten here at least 15 times over the years. She is simple, meat patty, fries, shake. At least one of the employees has EoE (avoids gluten) that works here and he understands / takes good care of us. Great to have this option!
This In-N-Out location was great about respecting my gluten allergy. Called it out across kitchen and ensured no cross contamination with the bread in the store.
No up-charge for allergies here.
They do not have a gluten free "bun" per say. But you can order a burger as 'Protein style' and they'll lettuce wrap it perfectly well. (My personal preference anyways, GF buns are usually terrible at these places and cost extra for no reason)
Not something I would do, but there's a Secret Menu where you can also have them use big onion slices or tomato slices as the "bun".. but I stick with lettuce
Order "protein style" to get it wrapped in lettuce
Went at a super busy time (always dangerous) but didn’t get glutened. Allergy was printed on my receipt. Fries are in a dedicated fryer and were delicious. Not super good for dairy-free - I usually just deal with it and eat the cheese anyway, but I’m guessing you could ask them to hold it too.
I was getting 3 meals for a sit down lunch, only one with allergies. I ordered mine last, told them I have allergies to wheat, egg, and dairy, then ordered my double protein style with nothing but meat and lettuce (can't stand onions), and fries. The allergies were listed on the receipt, and the cashier yelled out, "Allergy order, coming back!" The other two, with their wheat buns, were on a tray. Mine was on a separate tray, fries included. I wasn't watching closely to see what all safety measures they took, but gloves were changed before they handled my food. I had no issues with bringing in my vegan cheese and my own ketchup (I don't trust people to not put it directly on a bun), and had absolutely NO allergic reaction. I go into anaphylaxis within 10 minutes of cross contamination, so it would be VERY obvious. Overall, very happy that I have a restaurant I can go to when out and about in Mesa.
