I told them I had a Gluten Allergy and that I wanted my order in a separate tray than the rest of my family. The guy marked it as a Gluten Allergy and he was familiar with my protein style cheeseburger order. It came nicely wrapped in lettuce and paper and fries separately on one tray. I felt safe eating here.
We stayed at the hotel across the street during the Monterey stent of our trip and ate at this location at least 3 times. The service was excellent! I felt like mine and my daughters allergy requests were taken seriously and we never got sick, even when it was super busy. Each time we ordered (at this location and all the other ones across cali) we just said gluten allergy and they have a button for it in the computer.
We were excited to try this place out as we have heard such high reviews. My daughter ordered fries and a burger wrapped in lettuce. Her burger came out on a bun. We then asked for a new one wrapped in lettuce. Burger was small and fries were ok. She later got very sick, so we think it was from cross contamination.
My daughter and I are both reactive and sensitive celiac. She got In-N-Out at least times a week in college (she was a student athlete so she didn’t gain unhealthy weight). I didn’t really like the place until she started making me go there. Anytime she was away from a place that had In-N-Out was her first stop when she reached civilization. We both do protein style burger and fries. These are not my favorite style of fries and need to be eaten straight away, but it’s so rare to find a place with a dedicated frier that I savored them. They knew they are a celiac favorite so they are very helpful. Small menu helps. I picked this location because it was a place we went after her club soccer practice in high school, but she (and me too) has been to many in different areas and never ever had a problem.
