The wait staff is relatively informed on what items on the menu contains gluten. I have had two horrible experiences at innovo.
My first experience, the server claimed to have a deep understanding of what items on the menu were celiac friendly. I asked about their tacos appetizer where I asked if they were gluten free and the waitress said yes. The tacos came out and the shrimp were fully breaded. When I asked the server for an explanation. She said that the fish itself is breaded but the tortilla is made of corn ? Moving on… I got the salmon entree , same theme I specifically asked them not to make it with teriyaki and soy and it came out covered in sauce.
My second chance experience, the server was very informed on what was celiac friendly on the menu. She explained in detail the different ingredients and let me know which items were safe for me to eat. Everything was going great until I got my “gluten free” pasta dish, I found 3 different shell wheat pasta in my dish. Unacceptable.
Although Innovo has great drinks, menu items, and ambiance. I can’t risk my health coming back here for a third time.

I had the Taco Bar takeout at a backyard party. Host knew I have gluten allergy. She confirmed with Innovo what was GF (chicken, beef, pork, black beans, all toppings) Only non GF was the flour tortillas. Order also contained corn tortillas and corn chips. I am highly sensitive for cross contamination and had NO problem.

50/50 burger was best burger I’ve eaten. Knowledgeable staff and great selection

Delicious! They don’t have a GF menu but the staff are knowledgable. I went for brunch and got their winter scramble (all GF) with a toasted GF burger bun instead of regular toast. Felt very safe eating here.

My husband and I both have celiac disease and this is our favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting and the food is absolute delicious. We’ve gone here many times over the past few years and have never had a bad meal and have never gotten sick afterwards. There are gluten free buns for burgers and sandwiches and there is gluten free pasta. They are sure to denote everything that is gluten free and all of the staff is either aware of what has gluten in it or takes the questions seriously and asks the chef. They have great specials and happy hour deals. They also have a club where you can earn points/money. Their outdoor patio is awesome in the summer time and their bar area is super chic/cool. They always bring you a delicious dark chocolate/almond/cranberry bark at the end of the meal. I highly recommend!
