We came to Austin for the eclipse. As a celiac with other food allergies, it can be challenging to dine out safely. The staff checked the menu and showed us all of the dishes we could have (and share). This meal exceeded expectations. I had as good an experience as many Michelin star restaurants. My husband and I shared the beef carpaccio and gem salad both with intricate flavor and texture profile. The house made gf pastas were the best I have ever had. We had the rabbit sauce which was delicate and nuanced. We also tried the ragu which was a smoky twist on a classic. Our server, Ray, also helped to select a perfect wine pairing. We finished our perfect meal with an array of house made chocolates. If you are in Austin this place is a must go.
The gluten free pasta (maybe Gemelli noodle) was 5 stars!! Hands down one of the best GF pasta in Austin
The chef is very aware and they serves ask for all allergy preferences before taking your order
Gluten free pasta is delicious. The chef changes the menu daily and will modify dishes to ensure gluten free!
This has been my favorite meal in Austin!! 5 course meal, Contemporary American. So delicious!!!!! We had the pasta, the fish dish and two veggie apps
Love this place. Boutique upscale with knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff and bartenders
Not celiac friendly. Despite assurances that all dishes we ordered were gluten free, they were not. I became incredibly sick. They also mixed up a vegetarian dish for our table. The kitchen doesn’t seem able to follow through on the promises made by the waitstaff.
When we entered I requested a gluten free menu and was told the servers are extremely knowledgeable and a separate menu was not necessary. When we sat down we asked the server for advice on dishes to exclude or include. She said only the ravioli could not be made gluten free. They have delicious and fresh small plates to share and these were delicious! I have not had pasta in many years and the lamb pasta was amazing. We finished with the quail, but it was on a bed of farro. I have never had this before and tried to look it up online. I had no reception in the restaurant and even connected to their wifi had no internet connection. Eventually, the server came to apologize that she forgot that the dish had farro (which is made from wheat). I had assumed the server would take care of us and/or that the table was somehow identified in the kitchen as "gluten free". Neither of these were true. This is a great restaurant, but I suggest that you ask when every plate is delivered whether or not it is gluten free. This marred an otherwise great meal. If they had a gluten free menu this would increase my confidence in their commitment to food safety.
One is the best meals I've had in Austin. Delicious and accommodating to dairy allergy too.
