This place was awesome! Great view. I had a delicious steak. The menu is not great for kids, mostly seafood.

We had a great dinner experience here! The regular menu was very very extensive, and the non gluten sensitive members of our group had a variety of options that were really delicious- seafood, steak and sushi; great bottle of red wine as well. The gluten free menu may have seemed limited compared to the regular menu, but it was still a full page of options with good variety. My gf son (13) asked if they could prepare the salmon from the regular menu gf. There was some confusion as one server said it could be done and a different server said it could not. As he can be very sensitive but does not have extreme reactions we felt ok going with the salmon and felt assured in the communication and its preparation. They eliminated the sauce and the mashed potatoes were already gf. On bringing the plate to the table the waiter repeated that it was gf. My son really enjoyed it. Plus, he could have the mussels, oysters and edamame we all shared to start, so the experience was very positively inclusive for him. He loves calamari, but couldn’t have that as it was not gf. They did have two gf desserts, but we did not try them. I did not ask about the use of gloves in the kitchen or what other measures they may take as they have the gf menu and we felt confident speaking with the one server. I can appreciate the need to be more specific if their is an extreme sensitivity, allergic response or greater risk with possible cross contamination.

Highly recommend…best meal of our vacation…excellent service, atmosphere, wine selection and great food. My family enjoyed the oysters, grilled octopus, sushi, grouper, stuffed sea bass and the flourless chocolate cake with caramel ice cream…added bonus, they have a separate gluten free menu with lots of great options to choose from. Server was also very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions.

Nice little gluten free menu with pretty good options. The waiter was knowledgeable and everything they brought to me they said ‘and here’s the gluten free….’ Felt like everyone was paying attention.

Waiter not very informed and seemed uninterested. Ordered the filet with seasonal vegetables- came out with broccolini. Server informed waiter and us the seasonal vegetables were not gf. Happy they were aware in the kitchen.

Very airy and expansive dining area with water views. Food and service were excellent, one more reason to visit Clearwater. A glute-free menu, with sufficient selections, was provided and the kitchen offered to make gluten-friendly modifications where possible. Before I could ask, our waiter delivered gluten-free soy sauce for my tuna appetizer. Unless you are familiar with the area parking, I suggest the convenience of the valet.

Food is gross in here. Air vents and fryer are all dirty. I wanted to vomit when we walked in. Delusional boyfriend (who I dumped after going to this place) says this is one of the best places around. Food may be safe but it was disgusting. Got the filet medium, thick and too chewy and raw in the middle and then some Brussels sprouts in maple syrup truffle oil or something that the flavors just didn’t go together. Save yourself $200 and go somewhere else.

Erik was a great server. There was a separate gluten free menu with a moderate number of options. I felt confident that my food would be safe.

Excellent experience. Dedicated menu with appetizers, salads and entrees (fish, crab legs and steak) + sushi! Waiter understood my needs and said he’d speak with the chef.

Honestly I was looking forward to eating here since reading positive reviews. But I will have to say there is NO gluten free menu. Our waiter was really unsure about what was gluten free. It seemed like he had to ask the chef about everything. And when something wasn’t GF, he wasn’t willing to substitute any ingredients. I’m not going to pay the same amount of money if you have to omit some key ingredients. Why not be more accommodating? My meal ended up tasting great but it was such a challenge to find something.

Took a chance on Sunday brunch based on other reviews here. Was disappointed to find nothing labeled and staff on the buffet very unhelpful in determining which options might be gluten free. One server even told me that if I come back next week he’d be able to tell me whether or not the meat he was slicing is gluten free. Pass. Finally just ordered a veggie omelet from the kitchen after being assured by our waiter that it would be gluten free, but it was very small. Definitely not worth the $30 for the brunch.

We went for Thanksgiving buffet dinner and I was pleasantly surprised by the large selection of gf items on the buffet. The chef walked the buffet with me and showed me what I could eat. I highly recommend eating here.

Blake, our chef at Sunday brunch walked us through the whole display to determine safe vs not safe, and double checked ingredients. They understand the difference between “I don’t eat gluten,” and celiac. He made her special dessert and offered to cook versions of buffet items sans gluten ingredients. Amazing staff on our visit!!!
Yes
Celiac friendly. Just make sure you tell them and ask questions. Had the steak. It was ok. Have definitely had better but my other two friends loved their meals. Huge menu. I would recommend even though I wasn’t in love with my steak

I've eaten here twice in the last six months and had no problem. great fresh local fish, cider. very good service.
Never go here, unless you want bland, dry food. Terrible service, 45 minutes for the wrong meal, and the chiefs do not understand gluten-free dietary needs. I would give this a zero rating but I accidentally pressed the one star.
No
Do not eat at island way if you are celiac. Ordered off gf menu red snapper and veggies and spent entire vacation sick due to gluten exposure. Server asked if we could eat ice cream and then served ice cream with cobbler to us. No one ate the dessert obviously. This place is clueless.
No
My wife has celiac's disease and was told by the waiter "TC" that he was not up on "glut enology". He seemed very annoyed by her clarification questions. The GF menu is difficult to navigate as it lists some items that are GF an some items that are not. Even their non-GF food did not justify their prices. To top it off, my wife's food had hair it it.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I was just recently found to have a gluten allergy and the staff are very helpful. 5 stars all the way!

Helpful wait staff. Food was great.

What a great feeling to be able to find a good clean place to eat, that accommodates to people with Celiacs Disease. Our waiter Kris he was wonderful in making sure our 2 boys whom have Celiacs had safe(no cross contamination) gluten free food to eat. His service & knowledge was unbelievable! We will definitely be back as long as no tummy aches arise in which so far none yet. :-)
Excellent food, chefs worked with me (Celiacs) and we found a delicious meal. Server was not very respectful though, and seemed annoyed at being inconvenienced with such an allergy. Have a thick skin and you'll really enjoy your meal.
