Always willing to check on everything I ordered, even if I ordered it in the past. Great service.

Decent food and excellent service but if you are Celiac, it is good to ask questions. They wanted to bring chips and salsa instead of bread as that was their GF option but the chips come straight from their fryer which is cross contaminated. My daughter ordered her burger with a lettuce wrap and salad they put it on a bun with fries. When fixing it, they simply swapped plates and took the bun off vs remaking it. They corrected it all but we avoid going out in general to avoid situations like this and hate having to send food back.

Not a ton of options but the servers were willing to check on things. You have to do the sit down diner and nothing in their fryer is celiac safe. My spouse has celiac and they were not bothered

Excellent Gluten free options. Everything was delicious! They have Gluten Free, rice flour calamari! Delicious! I've not seen this made or served anywhere else and haven't eaten this in 3 years, since I went GF. It was a treat. The Halibut was thick, and beautifully white as snow. So good! They also have 3 dessert options that were GF. Best meal around.

First time here for dinner. Great looking decor inside and awesome views of Puget Sound and the island. The service was attentive and friendly. I had checked out the menu online and there were plenty of Gluten free dishes. My wife and I started with the bacon wrapped scallops which were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The surf and turf was yummy with a juicy 6oz sirloin and Coho Salmon in a lemon sauce. Overall a great meal.

Waiter was amazing a really helped me with the gluten free options. He said that they had limited GF because a lot of the restaurants are having problems getting supplies. I had fresh caught wild Alaskan salmon.

Menu was well labeled. Not a ton of GF choices, but everything was super tasty! Great atmosphere and amazing view of Lake Union. Prices were reasonable too.

Meh. Biggest issue with Ivars is that GF options are the most expensive things on the menu. While friends can chow down on fish and chips for $20, you're limited to Yet Another Salad (TM) or $60 set of crab legs or lobster trail. And GF bread? Nope. Want to bring your own to enjoy with cioppino or steamed clams? NOPE. Against restaurant policy.

So, probably safe, but definitely not "friendly".

No longer have a dedicated fryer. But still have a few gf options.
