Staff checked ingredients in the ice cream for me to make sure it didn’t contain gluten. They used a sanitized scoop and they had both gluten free sugar and cake cones! The ice cream was great and I didn’t get sick!

I have had good experiences at Izzy’s in the past. Unfortunately I was ‘glutened’ there yesterday. The staff washed hands, got the cone out of the dedicated GF bin and scooped from the back, supposedly from a fresh container with a clean scoop-my best guess is that this is where the cross-contact happened.

Gluten-free sugar and cake cones, plus staff will happily get a new scooper for you. However I would appreciate if the gluten-free flavors were listed somewhere.

Gluten free sugar cones, need I say more.

They usually have a nice variety of GF and Dairy Free options. Their non dairy, gf peanut butter ice cream is delicious. They use clean scoops and even get your ice cream fresh from the back to prevent cross contamination. Love them!

Have been there a number of times, but never again, the wife got very sick with a gluten free cone and vanilla ice cream, I believe the young lady dishing out the ice cream or a previous person contaminated the vanilla, it is not worth going there to be sick for a day or two. I did not see any special precautions for gluten free people except the cones

Ice cream was so good! Thrilled to see they had gluten free waffle cones as well as other GF cones. So many GF flavors to choose from! Staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac, but sadly of course, with shared scoops, can't guarantee zero cross contamination.
