Just came upon this place and was so delighted best hamburger I've had in years! The buns are so good I bought 6 additional buns for home. Can't wait to go back!

Highlights: Food was delicious, lovely outdoor seating, cautious staff, tiny kitchen.

I called first and was told that they did have a GF menu, but that their kitchen is very small, so they can’t guarantee no cross contamination. Since the reviews were so positive, I decided to give it a try. Once there, I asked for the GF menu, alerted the waiter to my dietary needs. He, again, pointed out the challenges with cross contamination, because of the size of the kitchen, but assured me they would take precautions. We ordered the deviled eggs and then I had the pulled pork tacos and spicy coleslaw for my entree. All delicious. The waiter returned to our table, prior to bringing our entrees, to inform me that the manager was making my meal, to be extra sure to avoid cross contamination. When the tacos came out, they were full of flavor, but seemingly missing toppings I assumed would be there. Shortly after, the manager visited our table to inquire about the meal and to let me know that he left off some of the toppings because he was concerned about cross contamination. It was a flavorful meal and the perfect night to night outside and enjoy the beautiful evening. This restaurant is located on restaurant row in Roanoke and it couldn’t be a more charming little area. The staff at Jack and Grill were so accommodating, I honestly felt a little guilty. But, they were so nice about it. I don’t know that I’ll roll the dice again, but so glad I did this time. I had no issues after the meal and had such a lovely evening while there. Ps, my husband isn’t GF and ordered the California chicken sandwich (I can’t recall the exact name), also delicious, according to him.

I ordered a side salad and wings with the “sissy” sauce. However, the sauce was Tabasco based and not sissy enough for me, they were very hot! They gladly took them back and replaced them with a bbq sauce and they were delicious. The server and manager were very kind and also knowledgeable about gluten free. It’s a day later and I had no reaction at all. I will definitely go back.

Had their pulled pork tacos. So good! Their salsa was served warm and was delicious. No reaction and the staff seemed knowledgeable. They do have a gf menu.

We frequently dine in at this restaurant and have tried the majority of the gluten free menu with no reactions...all delicious, fresh, and great quality for reasonable prices. Lots of options and knowledge friendly staff!
