My celiac daughter was so excited to see gluten free mozzarella sticks on the menu. They were delicious along with the rest of our meals. The staff was knowledgeable and there are so many gluten free options including lots of dessert choices!
Jack Sprat's was an amazing experience. Great many gluten free, dairy free options. The items that we got were absolutely delicious . Wonderful atmosphere, beautiful artwork and excellent service from friendly, curtios staff! We highly recommend Jack Sprat's
Had a very nice lunch here a few days ago. I had the Thai salad with coconut shrimp and a few things from the pastry case. Was very good!
My spouse and I time our trips from southern oregon to up north so we can always eat here. We are both gluten-free and so far have never gotten sick. They also have a case full of gluten-free desserts! The fryer is dedicated and most of the menu are or can be made gluten-free.
What a find! Delicious gluten free fish & chips. They were amazing! Their menu is filled with GF options. Salads are fresh and dressings are homemade with so many tasty options. Even had live music at lunchtime ( a Sunday).
While this isn’t a dedicated gluten free establishment, it’s about as safe l place you can go that isn’t.
The head chef is celiac, and many of their items are made gluten free. Everything that goes into and comes out of the fryer is gluten free. Their gluten free menu has plenty of options, and I wish I had a place like this near my home.
This was my first time here, and I had the gluten free mozzarella sticks and gluten free fish and chips. Both were great!
Next time I’ll have to try their gluten free onion rings.
Own is reported to have celiac. All ingredients going into fryer is gluten free along with all their waffle maker only makes gluten free
Staff was very aware of GF needs, and also adjusted my meals to be dairy free. Had one breakfast, lunch and dinner here over the course of 3 days. Very glad to have this option in town. Absolutely no issues with any of my meals.
Everything was labeled and delicious.. but I got glutened unfortunately :(
Excellent! Had the onion rings and coconut lime shrimp on the road, delicious! They have a dedicated fryer & separate cooking spaces. Owners daughter has Celiac, so she knows her stuff. Will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!
The menu had a V by all vegan free items. I had quinoa cakes with a sweet potato salad and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and carefully made sure there was no cross contamination. There is seating outside and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. I will definitely go back.
This place has it all! Options include: GF, VG, V, DF, W30, and Keto. The food, staff, and vibe was awesome!!
Everything that goes in their fryer is gluten free. There are so many options, and they are delicious. Would come back many times.
Delicious food. Great prices. The entire staff is well trained for celiac and cross contamination. They have many many options. I am a huge fan of the mozzarella sticks!
All of the food was delicious. It is a shared kitchen but they were very knowledgable and careful about cross contamination. They had a dedicated fryer and grill space (on a shared grill). I felt fine afterwards. Also GF mozzarella stick were enormous and amazing.
Edit: I cannot say enough about this place. They really take care of you. It is one of the places I will miss most in oregon.
We absolutely loved the food and feel great after. I do not have celiac just severe gluten sensitivity that causes Multiple Sclerosis. I can feel gluten in a matter of minutes. Restaurants like this make life better. I got a yummy cupcake too! My 2nd review. Wow, I came back and had a crispy spicy chicken sandwich. I truly never thought I would have a breaded chicken sandwich again. This place makes me so happy!
Started our meal with beautiful and cheap gf ciders! $2 organic coffee. Amazing music/atmosphere. Everything deep fried is gf. Had amazing chicken strips and fries, burger, and onion rings! I will be back!
I had gluten free fried mozzarella cheese sticks, onion rings, French fries, bbq bacon cheese burger on a gluten free bun and loved it. They dip everything fried in the same batter. The portions are very large for two. I hope to eat there again.
OMG, amazing!! I almost cried when I saw GF mozzarella sticks (I haven't had them in over 9 years). Many GF options, and veg friendly too. I will be back when I'm in the area again.
My favorite. Safe and yummy. Almost everything is gluten free. Well labeled menu, Ground Breaker GF ales, desserts. Garlic fries and chicken strips are my go-to
I was disappointed in this one. On the up side, there were a lot of GF options. The food, however, tasted salty and greasy to me. The overpriced pb&j sandwiches for the kids came on a quarter of a pita. So measly with not much pb or j. I left feeling yucky and ripped off. I would no recommend.
Absolutely terrific! Came up to Oregon for a duck day and made the detour based in the reviews on this site. My celiac daughter and I were thrilled to have veggie tempura - something we haven't been able to have in ages! Got dessert to go. Prices totally reasonable, food great, and a nice serenade with a 2-man band on a Friday night.
Yummy food, and large portions! Lots of GF options, and also vegetarian GF choices beyond the standard salad or grilled cheese, which is more unusual. College-y, slightly grungy atmosphere, kind of underground feel.
Sometimes you find a high level of knowledge about celiac disease and careful food prep where you least expect it. This is the case at Jack Sprats. The food is fresh, well prepared, and very good! Care is taken to avoid cross contamination, but the owner still stays current-- she was at a training on gluten free meal prep when we stopped by for lunch last week. A bonus--they serve the locally made kombucha and it's amazing!
This place is a hidden treasure. We were traveling and decided to stop in. We now have our official stopping point on our way to CA. A actual GF option filled menu, deserts too. We met Chloe, one of the owners. She was as delightful as her food was amazing. They have a dedicated fryer, but she divulged they are in the process of establishing full celiac friendly food. If you are GF and love garlic, you found your place. They also make all the bread, cakes, etc. from scratch. It was so soft and moist. I wish I could find a place like this at home. Maybe Udi's could learn a thing or two from them.
Most of the menu items are gluten free. The fries are amazing. But I wish they'd use Udi's buns rather than super seeded bread. I may suggest that to them.
