Chose this place based on FMGF and the close proximity to our hotel. No, there aren’t a lot of choices, but my waitress took questions and ran them by the chef to make sure I could safely eat. I ordered the roasted vegetables and a chicken breast. To my surprise, the chicken was both seasoned and cooked well, and the veggies were good. The margaritas are delicious and very potent!
I haven’t been out to dinner on my trip until seeing the ratings and safety reviews for this place. The server helped me select from 4-6 safe menu options and confirmed that the kitchen was good about keeping things separated. In paying the bill I could also see my meal flagged “Celiac” on the ticket. It was so fun to go out and not get sick! It tasted good. I’ve certainly had better meals, but it was better than expected.
The menu is seasonal and very rigid but they can accommodate gluten free. I had no issues. Overpriced for what you get but you are smack dab in the middle of a tourist town. Lunch was good. (Basil Vodka Chicken) Took a chocolate muffin and almond cookie to go and they were meh.
Staff was very attentive to my wife’s allergies as he also couldn’t have gluten. Menu was marked with gf items. They were out of gf buns so my wife opted for blackened shrimp tacos. They used a separate fryer for her fries. Food came out quick and was tasty. Fun, family friendly atmosphere. Adjacent grocery and bakery offered several gf items as well.
We tried this place and the restaurant does have a few gluten free options, although they were out of Gluten Free pasta the day we were there. Then we went to their small grocer next door and got some muffins for breakfast the next day. Unfortunately, those made us sick, so beware.
We really loved this place as an alternative to GF pizza or burgers. My daughter had the pulled pork nachos and they were willing to sub the beer cheese with shredded cheese. The salsa was excellent. Our table shared the hummus and I had the brisket salad which was really well done. They have a few options that you can sub GF pasta. The shop next door makes their own GF donuts and pastries. Considering it was a small menu it was a GREAT experience.
We ordered food to go. The staff on the phone was knowledgeable about what they could make GF or not. There is not a dedicated space, but several items on the menu can be prepared or are already GF (including the smoked wings and bacon wrapped jalapenos). I also enjoyed a grilled chicken salad. When we arrived to pick up food we were surprised to find that in the bakery they have a case of GF donuts, scones and muffins! There were a variety of flavors of donuts. We tried several baked goods and they were delicious.
