I got 3 tapas that were gluten-free and vegan. They were all delicious. I was surprised a Spanish place had vegan options and these were very tasty. Spinach dish with pine nuts & raisins Cauliflower with dates Potatoes - they offered vegan sauces instead of the traditional cheese.
Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. They have an allergen-marked menu but we did order one item that said it was gf and wasn’t (one of the cheeses comes with a cookie). Our waitress confirmed it was not gf and made sure to put it on a separate dish for us. (P.S. I’ve been to the location in Crystal City and that one has many more gf choices and of course better pricing!)
Did a tasting dinner and they accommodated to GF for the entire table. I was nervous that by round 10 or so they may have forgotten, but each dish they would note it was prepared gluten free. I was able to eat all 12 dishes and didn’t get sick at all! (Warning it’s a ton of food, but well worth the price to do a tasting!)
Food was yummy! They did bring out some plates with bread on the food even though they knew we could not have gluten but, they were quick to replace when we pointed it out. They cross contaminate in their oil but, it is marked on their gf menu so you are aware.
Jaleo is great if you are gluten free! They have a very large, diverse gluten free menu and every staff member I've spoken to at multiple locations has been incredibly knowledgable about the menu options and how to avoid cross contamination. Tell your server you need to be gluten free and they will make sure that the chef knows to make needed changes to the menu item!
Tapas restaurant with a separate gluten free menu. They accidentally brought out a bread basket with the meal, but because I only have a wheat sensitivity and not celiac, there was no danger of cross-contamination. Otherwise great food!
