This location is NOT celiac safe anymore. I’ve been plenty of times before without issues, but I guess they’ve changed their practices since I last visited several months ago. The staff informed me that they no longer use a separate prep area and ingredients that haven’t been cross-contaminated. In fact, they told me that they CAN’T. They said they don’t have any toppings other than what’s already been cross-contaminated. Which cannot be true, but I wasn’t arguing. I sent a message to the franchise owner but I won’t be going back.
Took a risk ordering online asking to avoid cross contamination in the special instructions. They are supposed to clean the station but obviously I can’t confirm if they did. Took some GluteGuard right before eating just in case, so take this review with a grain of salt— but no reaction!
The staff here are always very nice and accommodating. They make me feel really comfortable and like I’m not being a burden when I ask for my sub to be prepped in the separate gluten free area. Subs are so yummy a little on the pricey side especially when you have to pay extra for gf bread. But to me it’s worth it.
Some staff knows what to do but others do not take precautions seriously and I got sick as a result. Be careful!
Friendly service. Takes cross contamination seriously. Delicious subs
Got the portabello steak sandwich on GF bread. Ate the 1st half without issues. Something in the 2nd half made me sick. Maybe cross contamination on that half? Ate in wrapper-didn't have anything that could have caused accidentally on my end. I've thought and thought-for dinner, sandwich only. For lunch, sandwich and jello that I eat almost daily. No chips, sides, etc.
