Told them I was Celiac. Manager starts cutting the meat on dirty cutter, bread crumbs everywhere. Asked him don’t you wipe the machine and he replied that all the meat is gluten free. Then he cleaned the machine. đ Every time I go there, it’s pretty clear that the manager doesn’t like taking the time to clean first. I try to go when they aren’t busy so I don’t hold up the line, but I guess it doesn’t matter to this manager. Any time is an inconvenience. Next time I will go to a different location.

I had a reaction because I went during the lunch time rush and there were loaves of bread everywhere. Now the guy was really nice about wiping down the equipment, but I was being risky by going at a busy time. I didn’t get violently ill, but ill enough to know I had been cross contaminated.

Gluten free bread is separately packaged. They changed gloves and stopped to spray down the slicer in front of me. They used a separate work space to put my sand which together.

They take gluten free requests seriously. I’ve personally seen them clean the prep are, change gloves, and clean the knives before preparing gf food. I prefer to get a tub there but they do offer a gf sub.

Very thorough when you’re an allergy customer. They clean everything no matter how busy they are. Packaged Udi’s bread and you can order 6” or 12”!!

This location is awesome! The bread tastes great and is a huge portion, and they are very thorough in how they handle gluten free orders. They change gloves, clean the entire grill if you order cheesesteak for example (which I highly recommend) and clean the counters before assembling your sandwich. I have eaten at this location at least 10 times and have never gotten sick!
usually when a franchise offers GF you get a dinky sandwich that falls a part as soon as you look at it! I was beyond impressed when I ordered my GF sandwich. I received a very supple sandwich loaded with all the good stuff. They use Udi's bread which is typically on the dry side but when you load it up "mike's way" it is the closest thing to a "real" sub you have had since before you went GF. The staff took the time to clean all the work areas to decrease possible cross contamination issues and had all separate condiments, cutting board and knife. I have never been to another sandwich place that literally stops all business and puts 100% of their focus and attention on ensuring that I am safe and my food is handled with care! Hands down the BEST experience with GF sandwiches and I will be back in the future!

They don’t offer a kid’s gluten free sandwich so I had to buy my daughter an adult sandwich. However she loved the bread. She had the tuna. The staff were knowledgeable and took proper precautions.

This location (on University) does not follow the gluten-free protocol! I go to Jersey Mikes often as a safe option while traveling. Today, I ordered a GF sub (specifying for an allergy) and the manager instructed the employee to make it on the regular slicer so they wouldn’t have to clean the gluten free one again. I asked if he could please use the GF slicer, and he did… without changing his gloves. Then, he carried it over to the regular line and used the non-GF knife and veggies. I asked if he could please use the separate GF area that was all set up and he said “this was how they always do the GF orders.” The manager and other employees saw this and did not say anything. I did not eat my sub.

Called ahead to verify that they have gluten free bread, which they do. Awesome! When I got there the place was super busy, and I almost left out of fear that I would slow the process down even more. Decided to stay and give it a chance. The person at the meat slicer wiped down the area and slicer when I told him I needed everything gluten free. He was amazing about it. I had to ask them to grab fresh ingredients from the back though, because the person adding the toppings just wanted to use what was up front. They weren’t thrilled with getting stuff from the back, but they did do it. Overall it was a decent experience.

Great celiac-safe protocols. When I mentioned “gluten free” the staff immediately changed their gloves, used a separate knife, and put paper down to avoid contact with the cutting board. They also have Udi’s snickerdoodle cookies!

They have GF sub sandwich rolls! Possible cross contamination but they were careful in preparation. My sandwich was the best Ive had in such a long time! It’s so nice to be able to have a ’normal’ meal along with the rest of my family! They also have an option to make your sandwich a meal with a drink and chips or even an individually packaged GF udis cookie!
