Jersey mike’s is my go to quick service food as a symptomatic celiac. They train their staff on how to keep things separate and clean to avoid cross contamination. I have actually witnessed new staff at several locations being trained on safety!
They use Udi’s baguette’s, and despite me not being a huge fan of what Udi’s sells in stores I’ve always loved their baguettes.
I love their chicken Philly for a hot sub, and Turkey sub for cold.
I’m visiting from the northeast and was surprised to see a Jersey Mikes down here. JMs is always tough because of the crumbs flying everywhere but in a pinch we risk it. Can I tell you this was THE CLEANEST JM we’ve been to? Before I could even say the free in Gluten Free everyone’s gloves were flying off to be changed, the surfaces wiped down, and a protective wrapper laid down. Very impressed with the cleanliness. When I reminded them to please use a clean knife, I was told, “Absolutely, we have a whole protocol for it.” All in all impressed with knowledge and safety. I can’t give 5 hearts bc gluten crumbs are inevitable but otherwise a solid 4.
I’m so glad Jersey Mike’s started offering a gluten free option. I always loved their subs. The GF roll was good...just soft enough, and held together through meal. They are individually wrapped and only opened for an order. They do have an allergy protocol, so make sure you tell them if you are celiac. Sub was awesome! No bad symptoms! I will be a regular!
My fiancé has been glutened from here twice in the span of 1 year. Maybe been here 4 times in all of 2024. She gets no sauce and no oil. Just a turkey provolone with lettuce on a gluten free roll and she adds toppings at home to limit cross contamination. Has not stopped her from getting glutened twice now. Will not ever go back to this location.
