They use udis that are individually packaged. The person working has always changed their gloves, got a separate knife, and made sure they are careful of cross contamination. I like coming here but it can get pricey.

Have Udi's bread, and take incredible precautions for celiac protection (compared to other sandwich shops I've visited). Everyone changed gloves, wiped everything down, and still pulled a wide paper mat on a tray to make the sandwich, so it never actually touched the regular work surface. Not a dedicated facility, but have good practices.

The only place I am able to get a gluten free Italian grinder near me. They have gluten free subs and all of their meat is gluten free. They also have a protocol to wipe down all equipment, change gloves, knives etc. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because I went once and the gluten free bread was frozen at 2:00 in the afternoon so they said they couldn’t make me anything. Every other time it’s been great!

I stopped by to grab a sandwich. The bread is not fantastic but it's not bad either. The employees were careful putting the sandwich together. She washed her hands, washed the surface she was working on, washed her hands, put on new gloves, put a new paper wrap in top of the clean counter and proceeded to make the sandwich. I was impressed. It is super pricey though. A 6" sandwich, a bag of chips, and a drink was a little over $15. But it is another option when I'm out. I never got sick and it was nice to have a sub again.

They have been great every time I go in. They clean the equipment, change gloves, and the bread is separate from the regular bread. For those with celiac there would be cross contamination with other ingredients added to sandwich.

Udis gluten free bread. They prepare in a separate area and use different slicers and utensils. Even had separate condiments to avoid cross contamination. Advocate for yourself since so many young people work here but in theory they were all trained well. Plus they have pre wrapped udi cookies!

Eaten at Jersey Mike's several times very good sub. You tell them you want gluten free then they ask if you have an "allergy" which tells them they have to be very careful. Have not gotten sick after several visits.

I’ve eaten at JM’s lots of times, first time at this location. I’m celiac and ordered everything GF. They rung up a guy before me wrong, they rung me up wrong, and they rung up the lady after me wrong. A couple hours after eating, I was barfing violently. I don’t have that reaction when it’s CC. So I was glutened badly. Stay away from this location.

Highly recommend the Jersey Mike’s in Heath Ohio. They go above and beyond to wipe everything down, get clean utensils, and change out condiments before preparing a delicious GF sub. They serve a gluten free bun that tastes good. It is Udi’s brand that comes individually fresh and sealed. All workers, and owner, are accommodating to any of my celiac needs. They are knowledgeable and KNOW which condiments are GF. I eat there at least 2 times a week. The price of the bin is a few dollars more, but well worth it...I can finally eat a sub and enjoy it without the fear of getting contamination. They also have a variety of GF soft cookies, also from Udis’s.

Some staff are knowledgable but the cook doesn’t care one bit. He used the dedicated GF knife for my bread but then once everything was cooked, he carelessly switched over to the regular knife to cut the sandwich into 4 parts. When I told him I couldn’t eat it, he got very offended and the other staff members wouldn’t even look at me. He redid the sandwich and then the same problem occurred. He recognized his error and unhappily made the next sandwich the right way. Unfortunately I still got sick anyway. I’ve heard other locations are great but this one definitely isn’t. Training probably wouldn’t help as I just don’t think they care that much about what they are doing.
