Cleaned the grill and surfaces for me without being asked. Made a great sub on GF bread. A+
I was skeptical going in, this being a sandwich shop and all... but was very impressed with their process for minimizing chances for cross contamination.
They have big signs in the window advertising they have Udi’s sub rolls. They are prepackaged and kept separate from gluten containing products.
There is a sign hanging behind the counter documenting their gluten free food prep process.
As soon as I asked for gluten free bread, they changed gloves, cleaned the meat slicer and stove top, grabbed parchment paper and started prepping my sandwich in an area separate from where they normally make sandwiches. They have separate utensils, condiments and veggies and what not under the counter for Gf use. The staff was well trained.
Most of their sandwiches can be made GF. The bread was really soft. Not hard like the udi baguettes you get at the grocery store.
I have not had any issues since eating there. I usually know within 45 mins of eating gluten so I feel sure it was safe.
There another lady their who has celiacs and she’s had 4 sandwiches with no side effects...
Just sharing in case anyone else was curious about it. I’m excited. I have missed a good sub. I got the steak and cheese. It was really tasty.
Also, this location and the one in lake Mary do a promotion - buy a sub on Tuesday and save your receipt, come back the following Tuesday with the receipt and get that same sandwich for free!

One of the two knew what had to be done (including get the mayonnaise from the squirt bottle) but were rude and I was very anxious and fully expected to get sick. Thankfully I didn't. They used two rags to wipe down the grinder but each rag was so full of crumbs and they just didn't seem to care and got mad when I asked them about cleaning things. The udis bun was pretty good. The bacon is crunchy like broken glass (here and the Alpine location). Otherwise the meat and cheese are fresh.

Staff was so friendly about Celiac/gluten allergy. They make the sandwiches in a separate area with changed gloves and do their best to take deli meat from new containers.

The bread tasted so good and was fluffy and all the things! I got a hot sandwich and they prepared it in a separate, designated area
