This specific location is the best jersey mike’s hands down!! GF subs and al the workers are careful and so nice.
I was so happy to find out that Jersey Mike’s is serving Udi’s bread now! The bread comes prepackaged, I was asked if my GF selection was based on an allergy or preference, the employees changed their gloves, and my sandwich was made on a sheet of parchment to reduce risk of cross contamination. I haven’t had a true sub sandwich in 7 years and this was magic!
A little expensive but soooo good.I think McDonalds would have a little less business and Jersey Mikes will have more business.I am so happy I tried it.
The food was awesome, fresh and delicious. Best part is they really knew how to handle the food to prevent cross-contamination.
Got a sandwich for the first time since being diagnosed with celiac! You can get almost anything on an udis roll or a salad and they use a separate space, do a glove change, and new ingredients. I had a philly sandwich, the udis bread falls apart a bit but tastes good. The manager knew to be careful without being told which was nice. :)
I was pleasantly surprised by how well trained all the staff members were. Went in on a busy Saturday afternoon and every single person who participated in making my sub took caution. Without having to ask the workers changed gloves, used special mats and knives, etc.
Wife ordered a GF sub sandwich, they wiped down the entire area, changed gloves and used designated utensils to prepare her food. I sampled hers and I thought it was better than my regular sandwich! She did not have any reaction, we will be back for sure. It’s hard to find a good GF sandwich.
Knowledgeable staff, changed gloves, cut meat and bread in different area and wrapped in thicker paper to avoid cross contamination. Bread is tasty as well!
I’m so glad Jersey Mike’s started offering a gluten free option. I always loved their subs. The GF roll was good...just soft enough, and held together through meal. They are individually wrapped and only opened for an order. They do have an allergy protocol, so make sure you tell them if you are celiac. Sub was awesome! No bad symptoms! I will be a regular!
They were so great, when I asked for Gluten Free bun, he asked if it was for a food allergy, when I said yes, he got fresh gloves, clean knife and parchment paper, and when I asked for mayo, he asked if mayo packets would be ok, because he was concerned with the knife for the mayo having been used on other subs. When I ordered a hot sub, they completely scrubbed and cleaned the grill before making my sandwich. I have never had a reaction here, and I am super sensitive to gluten. Also, some really good subs, their gluten free bread is some of the best I've had.
While I was extremely excited to learn that Jersey Mike’s now offers a GF option, I was extremely skeptical about the safety despite hearing such good reviews from others across the country. It’s my understanding that while there is a risk for cross contamination, there is also supposed to be procedures in place to minimize the risk. I saw no such procedures being followed today as the GF sandwich (which was not for me but an online order) was treated just like a regular order. My gut instinct was right and I will never bring my child, who has Celiac, here to eat.
Have been GF for about 5 months now and have been seriously missing hoagies (among other things). Stopped in tonight and asked about the GF options and the employee stated everything on the menu was an option provided we used the right roll (which was still in a sealed bag. I didn’t feel too bad since it was slow, hate asking for special treatment. He made the 2 regulars we ordered, changed gloves, wiped entire prep area including the slicer, changed gloves again and proceeded to make my sandwich, while making sure nothing or no one else entered the prep area until he was done with my sandwich. They were very pleasant and accommodating.
I’ve been newly diagnosed with Celiacs, and this has been the first restaurant that has offered a substitute product so that I can actually have the same options of food as everyone else. The safe was very knowledgeable and even used a different mayonnaise container instead of using the knife to spread that they use on other subs, and used a different knife to slice the bread!
I’ve been to this location numerous times and have not gotten sick. The staff is very conscious about changing their gloves and watching for cross contamination. They use a special Udi’s bread made just for Jersey Mike’s and it’s very soft, chewy, and holds up very well.
They use Udi's gluten free sub rolls, change their gloves, and prepare your sandwich with a fresh knife on wax paper. Staff is well trained to limit cross contamination as much as possible. I LOVE the cheese steak and tried the ham, salami, and provolone yesterday and it was delicious. You can also get any sub made as a "tub" (no bread).
Great gluten free sub but make sure they use Mayo from a gluten free source. The first time I ordered the server used the same knife from Mayo used for regular subs. After I explained that it was contaminating my sub and I couldn't eat it, they remade it using a Mayo in a squirt bottle.
Best gf bread! My son and I LOVED it. They made our sandwich in the back away from the prep line.
The staff is absolutely amazing! Such a fun and inviting atmosphere where ordering gluten free doesn’t have to give you a headache! The staff is enthusiastic in general, and they are so careful to change gloves and use fresh knives to cut your sub! Awesome place to go for people with celiac and without!
Let me start by saying that Jersey Mike's does a wonderful job going through the proper procedures to ensure safety and no cross contamination. They change gloves, use a paper to place sandwich on, use a separate mayo that squeezes and also they clean the grill for hot sandwiches. I had no issues and loved the gf sub bun. With that being said, you have to do your own research in any case of eating out with celiac. I looked up their allergen chart prior to eating there and made sure to order a gf sub. Not all subs they offer are gluten free. You must be your own advocate.
My girlfriend has Celiac disease, so it is important to be cautious when we go out to eat, and it is amazing to find Jersey Mike’s! Everyone there was knowledgeable about cross contamination and changing gloves and all that goes with a well run and caring establishment. We will be going back again and again, and with Goomba’s and this in the same plaza, there are two amazing Celiac friendly places within walking distance of each other. Cannot recommend it enough!
Please give this place your business! I’ll cry if they quit offering GF subs! This is my second time I’ve been here. As soon as I tell them I need a gf sub, they will wipe down the grill, change knives to cut it, etc. At most restaurants I always feel like a bother when I ask GF questions. These employees are trained great. 5 stars!
The staff was very courteous in voluntarily cleaning the equipment and changing gloves. The gluten-free sandwich tasted great, but I ended up getting majorly sick after eating my meal here. Beware! The allure of a GF sandwich sounds attractive but they are NOT a gf environment!
Gluten free bread option first of all, which was great. Secondly, the staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and very well-trained. They had an entirely different staff person make my sandwich on a different surface, and when I had questions about what toppings might contain gluten, they were able to my answer my questions without a problem. I had an excellent sandwich and a great experience! The staff was also very kind and were great in general.
They do such a thorough job of cleaning their equipment and the preparation area whenever we eat here. Two celiacs in the family, and they have never had a problem so far. So glad they have Udi’s sub rolls, and it’s great to finally have a place to get subs.
I felt as though the staff was very attentive and I did not get sick after eating my sub. I have returned three times since my first visit.
The staff is great! Not only do they know me for my gluten free order they always change their gloves- not just one all of them! They get a new cutting board, knife and it is always great!
