If I could, I’d give it zero. Im celiac, and they don’t have a gluten free menu anymore and we got conflicting reports about what was and wasn’t gluten free. We were promised that the fried green tomatoes were gluten free, but then the chef said they absolutely weren’t. Another review said the cornbread and gravy were both gluten free, but we were told they weren’t. We ended up not ordering anything and leaving and going to the Lebanese place a block away on King St (they mark gluten free right on their menu).
Sad to give this such a low rating. Before I was diagnosed I love coming here, and was hopeful to see that had a GF menu. The menu does have a lot of options. But after telling my waiter I had an allergy ( easier then explaining celiacs), they brought my gumbo with a roll right on top of everything. Fries were also listed on the GF menu, but as I’m eating them my waitress says “ oh you know they are cooked with our flour batter”. Why is that on the GF menu? And why did my waitress only tell me as I am eating them?! Now I am home, sick. Gumbo was tasty though.
