I was with my family in Vegas and my wife is a Celiac And Type-1 diabetic. We explained this to the server twice when ordering. He said no problem and she had the chicken salad listed as celiac friendly, 2 hours later she was vomiting which dropped her sugar and she ended up in hospital. Not a good scene, we know there is always a risk but really? She could have died but was ok. Thank god for travel insurance since we are Canadian, the hospital bill was $4700.00 for the ambulance and 6 hour hospital stay.
There weren’t a lot of options, however the waitress was very knowledgeable and patient with my questions. We got the gf versions of the nachos and cheeseburger. Both were very very good. I had angry orchard to drink while the others in my party had regular beer.
I would not recommend this for celiacs. They do not have a dedicated flyer. My daughter asked for the Asian salad which is marked gluten free and the waiter told me they use regular soy sauce. She ended up ordering the taco salad without the tortilla strips (which contain gluten) and it tested negative for gluten on our Nima.
seemed very knowledgable and accommodating. I had the chicken sandwich. the waiter went and double checked with the chef that they were using a dedicated fryer for their french fries. He confirmed that they were (but this suggests that it nay not always be the case so double check before ordering).
Ate breakfast here for every morning of my stay, 4 mornings. Omlettes were delicious, I did eat the hashbrown also, they warned me it is gf, but on same griddle as pancakes ( but not same place). Gave choice of bun or fruit instead of toast, at no extra charge. Happy I found this place first day.
I ate here twice during my recent visit to Las Vegas. I ordered the cheeseburger, on the first visit I was informed by my server that I am unable to have the fries only a side salad. On my second visit, the server seemed a little bit dosey when it came to Gluten free and he offered me the fries. I ordered the cheeseburger with a side salad again to be safe. When the burger comes out it will have a stick to signal it's Gluten free. I did not get I'll after eating here but I would recommend to Be Cautious when ordering sides if you have Coeliac disease.
Ate here on Christmas day and was told they are now serving onions rings and that the fryer was no longer safe for celiacs. Still enjoyed the chicken sandwich, but with a side salad instead of my usual order of fries. I asked the server to make sure the rest of the staff knew to warn customers of this latest, disappointing development.
Had the grilled chicken sandwich. Best GF bun I've ever tasted, my partner was worried it wasn't GF it was that good. Our waiter Chris was very knowledgable and attentive, reassured me that he will have a word with the chef as I'm celiac. Loses one star as he came out and told me there was an issue with the fries and I couldn't have them, but I'm glad he let me know!
good place for a burger or nachos. Has dedicated fryer for fries. Staff is very well trained. Loses a star for having an amazing dessert on the menu but not carried anymore. Talk to Wyndham scammers enough to get free drink ticket with 25 purchase Update: 2 out of 3 good experiences. third we got onion petal fragments all over food. Nobody knew how it happened but we got a comp meal...
This was my first time at Margaritaville. We came for the gluten-free menu. I was only disappointed that the brownie sundae on the gluten-free menu is no longer available--we were really looking forward to it. We got the volcano nachos to share (must be a shared item because it is HUGE). I was disappointed that there is a bit a gluten-free kids menu, I was going to ask for the Jr cheeseburger sans buns and pick apples or carrots for the side, but we decided to share instead (she's 7). We maybe ate half of the volcano, but I'm satisfied. The nachos were $15.99 and i know would have spent a lot more for less food elsewhere. I got the blended Who's to Blame margarita. $9.75 Not the place is done at regularly, but on vacation with few other gluten-free choices, absolutely.
Food was reasonable and my celiac girlfriend didn't have any after affects from eating here, but we found the staff to be quite rude. We first ordered drinks at the bar, but after the bar staff couldn't understand 'coke' 3 times, he just didn't serve us the drink. When I went over after we ordered food (and forgetting to order the drink) I was told I'd have to ask the waitress and waited another 15 minutes or order it.
We tried Margaritaville on the Vegas Strip last night. There is a good selection on the gf menu. Our waitress, Tess, caught my mistake of trying to order from the vegetarian side instead of the gf side. This small act saved me from a world of hurt. I'm so grateful for that. i ordered the volcano nachos. Do not order this if you are by yourself, you will never finish it. the portion is HUGE! And delicious. They have a dedicated fryer and are very careful & conscious when prepping food. I am so happy I have options when traveling. I am highly sensitive intolerant to gluten.
They have a special gf menu with different options, went for the gf burger with gf bun (hard to find in restaurants). It was good. Waiter Jeff knew what he was talking about and he was a total sweety. The others had the NY strip which was very good. Would go here again for sure.
The menu seems great. I am having the nachos (amazing) without the queso (queso not gluten free). The chips are in a dedicated fryer. However if you want to eat rooftop and want anything other than nachos it is not available. This is why I gave 3 stars. After waiting 15 minutes I found this out. Frustrating but now we know 👍 should have asked.
They have a separate gluten free menu. I ordered the pork ribs and asked to change the sides to broccoli and some black beans. (These were sides to other gf options and I was tired of fries by the 3rd day of eating at Universal) Beans were great! Broccoli had zero seasoning, so I added salt. Ribs were your restaurant quality St. Louis ribs, nothing that would blow your mind, but a good switch up compared to other meals. Sauce was good.
We visited Margaritaville twice while in Nashville. The first experience was ok, didn’t get sick. The second experience was PHENOMENAL! It was a crazy busy Saturday night and we were sitting in the bar. Our waitress took such great care to make sure my food was correct. I thanked her for this and she made such a sweet comment about nothing bad happening on her watch!
My husband ordered a GF bun for his burger - mine was regular. They brought both burgers on GF buns. His was grilled/burnt and mine was cold. The cheese wasn’t melted and lettuce & tomatoes were the only dressing. Horrible food!
One choice of starter.... guac and chips. That was nice nice. Two choices of main course. I got the salmon and rice and black beans. The rice was microwave rice standard and the salmon must have been cooked for an hour. Completely dry and practically tasteless. So little choice and not good quality food at all.
The staff was knowledgeable- the food was “good”
Excellent meal; best I've had for the entire week we've been in Key West! The service was great. The hostess, when I asked for a gluten free menu, asked if it was for an allergy. I told her yes and she immediately said she would have the chef come and speak with me. Not only did he come straight over to the table, but he has a wife with severe food allergies, so he's very knowledgable and answered all of my questions. He personally took my order and delivered my food! What a treat! I will definitely eat here again and feel comfortable doing so.
We sat at the bar outside and the server was knowledgeable about celiac and recommended what drinks were GF. My husband had no reaction to the drinks or GF nachos. A little pricey but good.
Menu lists Gluten Free selections and also calories. Server was knowledgeable and confidently stated that the French Fries were GF and prepared in a dedicated fryer. I had “Cheeseburger in Paradise” with GF bun and fries. Burger was good (GF bun was weakest part, but sadly they always are) and I really enjoyed the fries (awfully rare to be able to enjoy safely when dining). Margaritas were excellent. Very nice outdoor dining area for view of Chicago skyline, boats, and people watching. Nice place to eat or drink at Navy Pier.
Our server was very helpful, the manager came out to officially take our order and deliver our food, and we had no gluten issues during our visit. My boyfriend is celiac and was able to enjoy his meal without incident. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food (both gf and non-gf) and we also had some amazing drinks!
Celiac friendly. I had the impossible burger on a gluten free bun and fries. They have a dedicated fryer for fries. Neat that they have vegetarian and vegan options that are also gluten free.
I have eaten here several times and have never had issues and the food and service was wonderful
We had an amazing experience here in July 2019! Our waiter was so understanding and accommodating to my daughter's Celiac needs. We started out with the Volcano Nachos for appetizer while the lady on stilts made her a balloon animal (too cool). For the main course, she had a burger on a GF bun and fries cooked in a separate frier. The best part was the GF brownie desert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped topping. Overall, it was a great experience with no tummy aches to follow!!
I love love love margaritaville! I have been to a few locations, but this was my first time at the one in AC. The server got a manger who came to talk to me and then relayed what I needed to the chef. He came out a few times to clarify to be sure they were giving me a safe dairy free and gluten free meal. I had a pulled pork sandwich on a gluten free roll with fries and bbq sauce. I did misunderstand and expected the pulled pork to come in a sauce of some sort, but it was plain. So the server gave me bbq sauce on the side which I put on the sandwich myself. It was soooo delicious and I did not get sick! I also had a strawberry daiquiri which was safe and yummy too! I was so pleased with the service and understanding of allergies. I am hoping to try the breakfast here too before my vacation is over because I was just over the top happy with my experience!!!
Chef came out to table to ensure they would take extra precautions. The burger on gluten free bun was delicious and the fries were safe to eat. Went back it was so good
Celiac Friendly Server and manager knowledgeable. I had a grilled chicken sandwich on GF bun and french fries. Fries have a dedicated fryer. Our waitress notified manager about gluten allergy and Manager checked in to see if there were questions.
I did not feel confident eating here. We went to Margaritaville after a great experience at the Las Vegas restaurant. The server had a severe lack of knowledge - she could only confirm that the bun and burger were actually gluten free. No knowledge of allergens in terms of sides, salads etc. Never fed back when I asked to confirm if the fries were cooked separately. I didn’t get sick but it was not a good experience.
There was a gluten free menu and the staff seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately I did not eat anything else before and did get sick. I had the chicken sandwich on gluten-free bun with gluten-free fries. My feeling was it was the fries only because they looked identical to my husband and sons but that is just a guess.
They have a GF bun that looks so good I wasn’t sure it was! Did not get sick and my burger was amazing. So many options and listed right on the menu. Very impressed and love that they have bread, finding burgers and sandwiches are difficult!
My 12 year old daughter received full on gluten at this restaurant not just contamination. The taco salad which was requested "Gluten Free Modified" contained tortilla strips with wheat (they were not supposed to be added to the salad)! She was sick for a full 24 hours. The manager and her staff could have cared less about the incident when it was brought to their attention. Their excuse, it was busy and we didn't call a manager (none were available at the time)!! Please don't eat here. I would hate for anyone to get sick. :-(
The people were very nice, but manager came over to the table and said they had nothing safe for a Celiac. They can't guarantee no cross-contamination. I appreciated their honesty, but had to go somewhere else.
While they have a separate gluten free menu and staff who are fairly knowledgeable about their supposed gluten free options and policies, this place is not celiac friendly. I got the kebabs, which is a very easy to make gluten free option, for lunch here and had horrible stomach pains and problems for most of the rest of the day ( a bad thing to have happen when you’re spending the day in the park. The two star are just because they have the separate gluten free menu.
The staff was knowledgeable on gluten free options and provided a gluten free menu. They have a separate kitchen space to cook gluten free and a separate fryer for the fries & chips. I do wish the gluten free items had a separate plate than the regular food items
Have celiacs and was glutened here. Got the taco salad and it was nasty. Truly regret going here.
Absolutely amazing food and service for a celiac ! I visited here twice during our 10 day stay in Orlando and I couldn’t rave more about it . I told them on arrival I had celiac and was concerned about cross contamination etc - the server was really understanding giving me a gluten free menu & explaining that they take allergies and celiac very seriously there . She said she could have the chef come out & speak to me if I’d like and he can run through the process of how they make it safe. They even have a dedicated fryer for the gluten free chips & separate area in the kitchen . Food was so delicious- well worth a visit whether you are a celiac or not.
Gluten free bun was good. Cheeseburger in paradise on a gluten free bun!
It was draft weekend so they were super busy but, the waitress said they’re very conscious of their GF not being near other food and they have separate friers for their tortilla chips and fries! The nachos were so good! And they have GF buns.
They are not overly careful they served me their chicken sandwich on a regular bun and said it was gluten free. Sent it back and they sent back the same sandwich and just pealed the bun off leaving all gluten bread in the cheese.
Wonderful! The chef came to the table, asked about my sons allergens, and assured us his food would be cooked safely with no contamination (dedicated GF fryer). He never got sick and everything was delicious.
Not a huge GF selection, but the GF burger is really good.
They are no longer in town but a few miles down where the cruise ships dock. You can’t get in unless you have a pass to get back in one of the ships. The Guard had sympathy for me because I had four celiac children and couldn’t find anywhere else to eat he let us in. when we got to Jimmy Buffett we were told there is nothing celiac safe, that they risk of contamination is very high. We ended up leaving very frustrated and sad because we’ve always had good luck with Jimmy Buffett’s.
Very experienced with Gluten Allergy- they have a menu which states the mortification that can be mad. I had a fish sandwich with fries and the gluten free bun. - 3 days later im still excited to have found this gem.
The place never let's me down. Waitress well aware of gluten allergy and the new menu points out GF options with a wheat symbol vs having a separate menu. Had the burger on GF bun with fries. Fries are cooked in separate fryer. The waitress even came back and alerted my wife who got the veggie burger if she was ok with gluten since I ordered a GF entre a she said she was fine with gluten. The veggie burger is apparently not GF for those that may not know. Anyway, great meal, environment and staff. Always love eating here, the one in Orlando is great too!
No gluten free menu. Music was blaring so loud the waiter couldn’t even hear me. We got up and left.
Ate there twice while in San Antonio. This is one the Rive Walk. I was leery since one had reviewed it, but with a dedicated fryer, it was worth a shot. Spoke to the cook, both times, and was assured my food would be gf. They even brought my food out separately! I have the ‘Cheeseburger in Paradise’ without the bun, but it was still delicious. They do have a dedicated fryer, & the fries were yummy! Just be sure to speak with the cook, and note the wheat symbol on the menu for the gf options. ❤️
