Although our server was very nice we were set on the wrong side, the bar side, even though we were clearly a family. The atmosphere was loud, the food was okay but not the best & many times even for the easy things like having enough silverware or water we were waiting for an unnecessarily long time. For instance, I was given a salad but had no silverware for 20 minutes to eat it. If one chooses to go here don’t eat on the bar side & expect good service quickly. This has occurred more than once as it happened to another family member
This menu is NOT safe for people with Celiac!!! It is gluten sensitive only and many of the options contain flour in one way or another. I asked about a sauce listed (thankfully!) and the server's response, after checking with the kitchen, was that all sauces contain gluten. My non-celiac peeps were equally unimpressed with the food and service. We also waited over an hour for our food.
waitress knew what was gluten free and not ! super helpful ! has a gluten free menu and all 😊
They have a gluten sensitivity menu with good options. I have celiac disease and did not get ill. I do wish they offered appetizers as I sat for an hour and a half while the rest of my party had bread, appetizers, and salad before the main course was served.
Discussed needing gf meal with waitress. When my meal came there was a sauce on everything. When I questioned the waitress if it was the gf version she had to go ask. It was not. They remade my meal while I watched my friends eat theirs. Mine wasn't all that good when it did come. Won't go back.
They have a gluten free menu that had quite a few options on it. I ordered the shrimp scampi and it was delicious. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because they need to add appetizers and desserts to the gf menu. Great service and great food!
— Separate gluten-free menu
I’ve eaten here several times, never any issues and great food!
I love Johnny's and I use to eat there often before being diagnosed with CD, but I am glad I called ahead and spoke with the staff. Unfortunately Johnny's is NOT celiac friendly. The manager that I spoke with was very forthcoming and let me know that, although they have a gluten free menu, they cannot claim to be 100% gluten free as cc is very likely to happen since the items are not prepared in a separate area or on gluten free surfaces. This place might be good for those eating gluten free but not for those with CD.
