I was in here to get ice cream the other night and noticed that in their bakery display (with all the croissants and bagels and whatnot) they actually have Udi's muffins and bagels. They are individually packaged and were still in the packaging when displayed so it looked like they were actually making an effort to avoid cross contamination. I did NOT ask about whether they have any sort of separate toaster for the bagels, since I was just making a quick stop, but that's something to keep in mind!
What a find with many gluten feee options. They encourage me to try multiple samples. The flavors are rich and tasty. Just as good today as it was last time I visited this super premium ice cream parlor in the eighties. 👍👍
This place has gluten-free ICE CREAM CONES! :) My server was awesome. I saw him take out the open ice cream bucket on top and open a new one below. I am always happy when I see someone take the time to make sure there's no cross contamination.
I've been here many times. The staff is usually good about getting ice cream from new containers and using a new scooper, but one time the woman behind the counter refused to serve me, and I had to ask two other staff to help me. Still, definitely safe for Celiac - just watch out and make sure they actually do go to the back to get ice cream from a new container.
