My husband and I had breakfast here on New Year’s Day. We ate here years ago and loved it, but that was long before I had developed symptoms of celiac and I think they’ve changed ownership since then. ANYWAY, the food was great, I had the Baja Omelet, and made sure to double check with the server about cross contamination. She was very reassuring that they had separate equipment for everything GF, and made sure to make a note for the chef. I actually liked the gf toast, we all know it’s not always amazing bread but this stuff was pretty good-like classic diner toast. The fresh squeezed OJ was pretty good too, and my husband liked his Denver omelet. It felt super clean inside, and cozy with baseboard heating by our feet lol…we will definitely be back!
Great little spot! Gluten free bread option - they currently use “Chef’s Choice gf Multigrain” certified gf and vegan according to online info. I had the basic breakfast plate with potatoes, bacon, and gf toast. Items are marked on menu. Unsure about cross contamination.
Ate breakfast here four times on my recent trip. The food was great, the menu well marked for gf, the service was fast, the outdoor seating was ample during breakfast/brunch hours, and start parking was easy to find close by. I tried the basic breakfast and the Alaskan omelet, with the latter being my favorite.
A go-to cafe for many in the Seattle GF/ celiac community. Menu is 75% gluten-free and delicious. Open for breakfast, brunch & lunch.
We were there at 11:15 am on a Monday & easily got a table. The large windows throughout make the venue bright and airy, even on rainy days. I customized my huevos rancheros. The menus includes pancakes, waffles (possible cross-contamination), oatmeal, many kinds of scrambles/ omelets, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage plus sandwiches and desserts. Service was attentive, courteous and thoughtful.
There’s also a terrific juice — customization is easy - store next door for take away. Organic & delicious.
Easy free parking on nearby streets.
Go try this café!! Met family there for breakfast : we enjoyed a lovely quiet table in the sunshine. Menu is 75% gluten-free! And customizable: fruit or black beans can sub for potatoes. Offerings include pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, many kinds of scrambles, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage. Service from the owners was attentive, courteous and thoughtful. All of us enjoyed our food. Give them a try!!
Really delicious food, cute place, and kind owner! She told us that many of her family members are celiac so they know a lot about it and take it very seriously to prevent cross contamination and keep things safe. They have a huge gluten free menu! I got a gluten free eggs Benedict with salmon and it was amazing. Super delicious and great bread. Highly recommend!! Didn't get sick.
Server was able to answer my questions and when I asked how the crispy potatoes were prepared he said they had a separate part of the cook top and the owner had Celiac so the kitchen knows what to do. A lot of the menu can be easily adapted to be GF. I had eggs Benedict with ham on GF bread instead of the English muffins with a side of crispy potatoes and we ate on their new patio - lots of fresh air!
