The waitress was helpful but unsure about what gluten free was. She went to speak with manager who told her that the only thing gluten free in the restaurant was the gluten free buns.
No
The staff was helpful! I had the burger on a gluten free bun. It’s was delicious. I avoided any bacon since it wasn’t clear if they were glutened or not.
Yes
Excellent food on our road trip. Owner is a celiac. Told me exactly what we could eat. Lots of options: salad bar, steaks, burgers with gf bun, potatoe, veggies, pork chops, salmon, and much more. Definitely worth the stop.
Yes
They had a gluten-free bun for my hamburger and were willing to substitute black eyed peas or other side because french fries were not done in designated fryer.
Yes
Had a decent Choice strip steak, excellent baked sweet potato (no margarine or sugar added by request) and excellent black-eyed peas. My waiter had a bit of knowledge about GF and made recommendations. Cut up rest of steak and took back for breakfast (my motel did not have much in the way of gf for their free breakfast.)
Without my sharp waiter Jesse it might have been a harder selection. The place was packed even on a Wednesday night, the servers overworked. It is one of THE places in Fort Stockton.
VERY, very slow service. On their menu they offer gluten free bread and reviewers on other sites said they have good gluten free food. The server I had needed to run back and forth to the chef to ask about every little thing because he had no idea. They have a mediocre salad bar and baked potatoes. I could have gotten more adventurous, but I played it safe since I could tell our server was overworked.
Yes
One of the owners is gluten free, so he makes sure there are options. They have gluten free buns for their burgers, which are delicious. Their fryer isn’t dedicated, so no fries, but I always substitute with their salad bar instead. Great, great salad bar. Their ribs and steaks are gluten free as well. I’ve eaten here at least 10 times and have never gotten sick.
