We enjoyed a high quality lunch and enjoyed the experience of the gluten and dairy free venue. We had the soup special and goulash, then country style chicken (schnitzel) with mash potatoes and cucumber pickle, and the most delicious crumbed celery and beetroot risotto from the chefs special. The food is good quality and the venue was cosy and modern. A really lovely experience.
Great dedicated gluten free restaurant. Not a huge food menu but that usually says to me that what is on offer is good quality and I wasn’t wrong. Our first night here my wife had the chicken burger and I had the beef burger. It was all cooked to perfection accompanied by great chunky fries and delicious coleslaw. We enjoyed the meal so much we ate there again the following night. My wife tried the pork tenderloin with squash which she said was delicious and I had the red pesto gnocchi with salmon. Also delicious. Great restaurant for anyone looking for delicious gluten free food.
Went here 9 months ago, and yesterday again. It is amazing to be somewhere dedicated gluten free.
There's a very nice selection of options to choose from. Pasta, burgers, salads, desserts, cocktails.
Last time I had duck, which was nice. Also a good cocktail.
The food yesterday was okay. The rib-eye was overcooked and a bit dry. (Ordered medium rare). Also the cocktail was extremely sweet. Like syrup that isn't diluted enough.
The overall experience is good, but I feel like there's better 100% gf restaurants in Budapest.
Lovely food, however the service was incredibly disappointing. Arrived at mid-day, seated immediately which was great but then took nearly an hour for food to arrive, even though we were first to be served and there were only 3 other tables who arrived after us.
We’d ordered one of the specials, the table next to us also ordered this special after us. 10 minutes later we were told they didn’t have this special anymore and to choose a new item, to then see the table next to us receive the special themselves shortly after - clear favouritism to locals over tourists.
However as stated at the beginning, the food is lovely. It is just a shame about the service.
The food is good, not amazing. I mean, for the starters I had the salmon and it was PERFECT! For the main course I had the burguer… and I can’t recommend. The bread was too tough and difficult to eat. For the desert I had the chef recommended and it was good again. However, the price… WOW. A meal for one person, only 1 beer, was USD 50. That’s more expensive than it should be for me, based on the taste. Oh, about the service: really good, quite polite.
The Peach Veloute with palinka soaked fruits and a touch of mint is truly delicious. A clever puréed cold soup, perfect for countering the stiflingly hot Budapest summer days. It's taste was focused and rich in all the best ways and had me wanting more, though the portion is very generous.
The traditional paprika chicken however was a little less in taste than I had hoped for. Somehow missed the paprika wow-factor. And the accompanying g-f gnocchi was a little too hard compared to others I have tasted, which, given there was a lot of it in the serving, was an effort to eat it all. That said, there are plenty of other mains to be had, and if the soup is anything to go by, then I'm sure some of them hit the spot just right.
Definitely worth trying this dedicated gluten-free restaurant, which has stylish decor and a professional service approach. Also alcohol-licensed. For choice there are two large indoor rooms and a large front outdoor zone on a quiet street. Bookings nevertheless advisable.
Very good food. A bit fancier than we are used to. The portions are on the smaller side, so i would recommend a starter in addition if you are hungry. We have been here two times during our stay, and if i go back to Budapest, i would definitively go here again. Love that all of the food is glutenfree and that they also have glutenfree beer.
Beautiful restaurant with so much choice! The lady even warned my partner the beer wasn’t GF (not a problem as it’s only me who’s coeliac - but thought it was very good of them)
I also have a lactose allergy and managed to have a pudding as well! So I’m very happy!
100% recommended if you have allergies and want to enjoy a night with no worries
