My partner and I ate here twice during our stay in Budapest! The food quality is great and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Across both meals we had a chicken dish, the special pork dish and then a beef and a chicken burger. It was really nice to not have to worry about any cross contamination or having to filter through a menu. There’s a good amount of options and the food was really yummy, hence we came back! My partner (who isn’t a coeliac) really enjoyed the food too and said he wouldn’t know the difference. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Good food but terribly long wait for it! I suspect the kitchen was understaffed. I enjoyed my chicken schnitzel, my husband liked the chicken paprikash. My gluten-eating boys didn’t love the burgers but they are used to normal bread.

I was so excited to try this restaurant, but I did not get what I expected.. I do not recommend the burger, the coleslow was warm, the steak potatoes were not really stake potatoes, and the meet inside was very poor quality.. :( I am sorry to say it, but I got sick, becouse the ingridients were not fresh (and I am very sensitive to that). My friend enjoyed his gulash and “hús lecsóval és dödöllével”, he has no sensitivities.

Amazing meal here! The restaurant itself is lovely and has a really nice vibe to it. The staff were friendly. The whole menu is GF so completely Coeliac safe, and food was really tasty. I was with a group of 8 people (most of whom aren’t GF) and they all said it was one of the top meals of the holiday. The menu has so many great options it’s almost hard to decide what to order!

Great location on a quiet street close to the Opera.

We had the avocado appetizer (they were out of the pork terrine), tagliatelle and pork knuckle. All meals were delicious and better than other dedicated gf restaurants we tried on this trip.

Good cocktail and wine selection. The chocolate mousse was also delicious!

I highly recommend this restaurant whether you are gf or not. There is something for everyone.

After being told by my tour guide, who is based in Budapest ironically, that there was no specific gluten free eateries in Eastern Europe it was refreshing to find one less than 5 minutes walk from my hotel! Kata restaurant’s food menu is totally gluten free, I had a chicken schnitzel and cheese cake for dessert which is a blessing in a foreign country given how difficult it is for me personally to not only find gluten free food, but also to avoid cross contamination, I highly recommend anybody who is gluten intolerant to dine at this restaurant if they are in Budapest.

Cocktails were amazing.

(Brownie was average but for GF wasn’t too bad, bit dry but it’s served with like a creme anglaise. The halloumi burger was mostly just a slab of halloumi, no veggie patty on there too).

One of the best GF meals I’ve ever had. Goulash soup flavor fantastic. Dumplings in the Chicken paprikash were so good I had a “are these really GF reaction?” Very good brownie. I rarely take photos of food, but everything was presented so nicely I did and added to this review. Staff friendly and English perfect.

I had a salad, then beef goulash. The food was tasty and service was good. The bread with the goulash was good enough that I doubted it was gluten free, but I had no celiac response!

If you are going anytime approaching their published closing time, double check that they will be accepting orders. The previous night I arrived at 21:30 because the published closing time was 23:00 on Google, but was turned away.

Brilliant restaurant, such a lovely menu and so many vegetarian and vegan options. This is a completely gluten free restaurant and even my non coeliac family loved their meals. Really good value. Very happy coeliac vegetarian.

I’m gluten-free and loved my food. My partner isn’t, had a veggie burger and wasn’t very excited about it - to be fair to him, the veggie burger looked like a bun stuffed with a block of Camembert. Nice decor and friendly staff. Quite pricey compared to other places in the city.
