This local spot is nestled in Uptown, right off the Argyle stop! The majority of their menu is gluten free, with only a few options containing gluten (marked by a G on the menu).
“Kie Gol Lanee” is the phonetic spelling of “Quiegoloani” and the name of the small village in Oaxaca, Mexico where the owners are from: Santa Maria Quiegolani.
They have so many authentic Oaxacan dishes to try! My favorites were the queso panela frito (fried cheese with roasted pepper sauce and coleslaw) and the chuletas de puerco (stuffed pork chops with a delicious tamarind sauce)!
They use separate fryers / cookware for gluten free items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also have alcohol free margaritas which were great!
Great experience here! So many GF options (items that DO contain gluten are marked with a “G” on the menu so don’t get confused!). The food was SO good and our server was very kind and reassured us that the gluten free options were celiac safe (chips + grasshoppers included!) My boyfriend (celiac) didn’t have any reaction from eating here!
Fantastic!! All allergens, including dairy and nuts, are clearly marked for each dish. Almost everything is gluten free, and a lot is vegetarian too!! would recommend.
Most of the menu is gluten free, and everything we had was amazing. Kie Gol Lanee is a Oaxacan, Michelin recommended restaurant. The gluten containing items are noted on the menu, as most everything is gluten free. Our server knew the menu and ingredients well, and we had an incredible meal - braised lamb shank and potato purée for me, skirt steak dinner for my spouse. We had guacamole and roasted mushrooms for apps. So good. Kie is also BYOB
