KIWAMI Sushi Bar & Sake House

Went for my mom’s birthday and had a great experience. We were able to make substitutions for imitation crab to open up more options and got a few without sauce to make them GF. My mom also can’t have onions and we were able to adapt rolls for that allergy too.

Overall, we all agreed our favorites were just the simple rolls that let the fish shine! I tend to get nervous about cross contamination with sushi but I had zero reaction so it was very safe!

Aggressive waiters who really dont want to deal with questions about gluten and cross contamination. Last 2 times i went there ended with arguments with the waiters over details of the sushi ingredients , definitely can’t recommend.

Great place! Not many specialty rolls are GF but there is a lot to eat. We recommend the salmon lovers roll! They have GF soy sauce and miso soup. Staff is knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination

Finally, a place to eat sushi!! The staff is so knowledgeable and careful. They know exactly where the gluten is and how to modify for celiac. The waitress, Emma, watched over our food like a hawk to ensure there were no mistakes. Her communication with the sushi staff was on point.

Many of their sauces are GF, they have GF soy sauce, and by the way, the sushi was GREAT

I knew this was going to be a good experience when I called ahead of time and the server knew all the right answers for how to make GF sushi and avoid cross contamination. With very little prompting she explained how they use clean gloves, cooking surfaces, utensils, etc. They have GF soy sauce and a lot of the sushi is available GF.

Very very tasty also. I am celiac and sensitive and did not get sick. Such a nice experience to not have to stress about dinner. Really loved this place, I’ll be back.
