Kona Grill

The staff was wonderful and the food was terrific!

Generally been good in the past. But recently took a nose dive in terms of food safety. Gave us a gluten dish despite being told about celiac and requesting no gluten.

I sat at the bar and told the bartender I have Celiac's. He explained to me that because they are a from scratch restaurant a lot of the recipes could be modified to make a special dish for me. The gluten free menu already had a lot of great options. He went back to the kitchen to assure that cutting boards, knifes, and gloves were changed out and brought me gluten free Tamari sauce for my sushi. It was really great to not have to ask for this level of service. He understood my situation and knew exactly what to do. A+++

Great service and food was amazing. Had the Kona Chopped Salad and the grilled salmon. They were very clear about the modifications they made to it and marked it as a Food Allergy. Would go back again

Only thing that's gluten free is the sushi. Everything else is pretty much off limits. Soy sauce is used in dishes or items are crusted with panko.

Kona Grill is a fantastic dining spot that goes above and beyond in catering to guests with gluten-free dietary needs. During my recent visit, I was impressed by their attentive staff who were extremely helpful in guiding me towards gluten-free options on the menu. What stood out to me the most was the clear labeling of gluten-free items, making it easy for me to make informed choices. Waiter seems knowledgeable and gf foods clearly marked on menu. There are only about 5 options on the menu though. Food was very good.

Only had 7-8 GF items marked on menu. No GF sounds sauce. Brought out GF sushi and non GF for my husband on the same plate and def cross contaminated.

Not a ton of options (1 app, 2 salads, 1 entree, 2 sushi rolls, 1 dessert) but everything is marked, the server was conscientious and double-checked things, the chicken and rice were a fun new flavor combo for me, and I had no issues.
