Kona International Airport

If there were a zero-star option, I'd take it. Reviewing mostly to warn celiacs/GF travelers that KOA is a relative desert as far as GF food is concerned, let alone GF+dairy free (which K2 currently is). There is a restaurant/cafe that does offer yogurt, fruit cups, and airport fruit (you know, sad bananas and Red Delicious apples); we asked if we could get just plain eggs, since there were a bunch of egg/croissant packaged combos, and they were nice enough to go ask, but the answer was no. Plan ahead if you're flying through here; do not think, "oh, we'll just pick something up at the airport". (Unless you REALLY like macadamia nuts and, like, Doritos.)
