So delicious and amazing!!! I’ve been going to this cart for over 8 years. They are always so careful and almost the entire menu is gluten free. The reina pepiada arepa is my go-to! My favorite place to eat in Portland!
Food is AMAZING. Staff was very nice ( I had Alejandro as a server) and all of it except one item is gluten free. So glad I found this place :)
This food was excellent. My wife is gluten intolerant and we were super excited to hear that only 2 items on the menu (teque tots, and number 20) not gluten free. Number 20 is clearly marked as not gluten free on menu board. The teque tots we decided thankfully to ask as you can never be sure. And he informed us all gf with just the two exceptions.
The flavors are amazing we had the arepas and empenadas. I love the shredded beef. The beans and rice were great add. We told them we would be back and try the plantains next time.
Note, on Saturdays, they shut down around 3pm to prep for post 5pm dinner crowd. We arrived for late lunch.
The Barley pod area has quite a bit of seating and many outdoor tables with awning or umbrella covering. Overall about 10 food carts here with small indoor beer hall. Quick walk around, and did not notice any other obvious gf menu items on thr other food trucks, but good options for otherd in your group. Public restroom here as well.
This was an absolutely fabulous find! The food truck is part of the Barley Pod Food Carts and Beer Garden. Sit outside at picnic tables, enjoy a drink, and eat this unbelievable gluten free food. We had the arepas and empanadas and they were delicious. All gluten free and a very special experience.
All the menu is gluten free except one item that is cooked on a different frying pan. Flavorful food
