very lovely BBQ! no dedicated gluten free options but they are more than happy to swap gloves and prevent cross contamination on your brisket or pork order.

Best BBQ hands down! Advised counter team about Gluten and they changed gloves. Avoid sides as too much crossX handled by the bread person and witnessed contam. Once that was settled I ate until I could not anymore.

Phenomenal BBQ! I didn’t see this place pop up on this app until I specifically looked for BBQ places. I spoke with the head chef and he confirmed that everything is GF, including sauces, except for the Mac ‘n cheese and rolls. Groups have to order together at the counter so you can see how the food is handled. The person serving us put my friend’s roll on her own tray to keep the rest of the food safe. I portioned out my own food before my friends dug in to avoid any cross-contamination from their forks (accidents happen). I highly recommend this place!

While I had no reaction & enjoyed the food, I'll preface this review that I see a lot of opportunities for cross contamination here. The serving counter is very tight, there is bread stacked above everything and the cutting board they use for meat is wooden vs plastic.
That being said, I recently went here with friends & again, had no issues. I think this was helped by literally being the first ones in line of the day, so everything was clean. I also played it very safe, ordering only brisket & that's it (no sides or other meat).
When I last went to Franklin's (6 years ago), I will say they took way more precautions than this place. Cut my meat order from an untouched brisket, separate clean cutting board, changed gloves etc. I think it would be very easy for these guys to implement the same system, put the bread to the side so crumbs can't fall on everything & be just as safe.

Good BBQ spot! Stopped in on a Saturday for lunch (arrived at 1030a and was 3rd in line). Got the brisket (great), the jalapeno sausage (great but VERY spicy - I’ll get the regular sausage next time), potato salad (pretty good) and the spicy garlic pickles (delicious). I tried a few of their sauces, but not my style. Didn’t get a reaction from any of it. Most of their menu seems to be gluten free. Make sure to come early!

Now in brick and mortar place at 2027 E. Cesar Chavez. Excellent brisket, turkey, and pork ribs. Good pinto beans and potato salad. Shares space with Quickie Pickie: GF cookies and muffins, drip coffee, cold brew coffee, and espresso drinks. Also munchies food.
SO good, no let me say that again.. SO GOOD! Brisket is out of this world, worth the two hour wait! We started in line by the port o pottys, took a full 2 hours from there on a Sunday. They give you free beer, kegs are by the truck just help yourself or byob to pass the time! All meats and sides are gluten free and i didn't get sick at all so its safe for celiacs, just have to let them know when you order. They have a meats only station which helps keep you safe!
