The server seemed to know what on the menu was gf and helped me order. There was lots of variety which was nice. They brought my tacos out seperately and someone said "gluten free" They tasted good and I thought all was well until a couple hours later when I was hit with stomach cramps and started vomiting. I assume this was an issue in the kitchen because the server seemed to be clear I had an allergy. Disappointing unfortunately.

Great spot for margaritas and tacos. Our server was very aware of celiac and cross-contamination protocols. She walked us through what I could order safely, and what could be modified.
Fryer is off limits so you can’t order the chips, but there are a lots of appetizers and tacos that are safe!

I had the corn and the vegan chorizo which I was told were gluten free no mods necessary. Two hours later I was VERY ill. I do not recommend.

The staff was very knowledgeable about the GF options and were very flexible with making items GF.
They do not have a dedicated deep fried, but many of the tacos (steak, achiote chicken, pork belly) are fine, you just need to remove the fried toppings.
Sweet corn is GF and so good, starter comes 2 ears, I highly recommend this item.

Not a ton of options but a good variety of tasty options. The server was very knowledgeable and made it clear what was safe and not safe for me. When servers brought my food out they said celiac order as they set it down. I'm pretty sensative and didn't have a problem after eating here.
Yes
Very few options that are gluten free and our server lacked solid knowledge of it. Also noting that I did get sick afterwards and I suspect (in now reading other reviews!) it is because I was uninformed of the grill issue with my tacos.

Not many safe gluten free item. Salads are good, but all tacos are cooked on the same grill with gluten containing items. Also all tacos have some form of fried fair. Waitress not knowledgeable about gluten free. Meal came out prior to drinks and starter. Inside is super loud I couldn’t even hear my husband speak.

So so delicious! I ordered the lunch special which included a Mexican street corn, 2 tacos and a dessert. All GF and so yummy. The waitress was knowledgeable and very helpful. My best meal in Toronto so far! The chips are not GF because they are not from a dedicated fryer, but I had plenty of other choices.

Great food, but the service was less than hospitable at the John St. Location. I ate 3 beef tacos, which were GF and delicious. However, the server did little to accommodate my daughter's pickiness. All we wanted was a simple cheese quesadilla. Unfortunately, we were told they couldn't make that for her--so she ate chips. Honestly, I think this was an easy thing to do for a kid. Other taco bars have happily done this for our daughter.

Delicious gluten free tacos!

Had an absolutely amazing meal with family here! Vibe was lively and fun - couldn’t help but sing along to all the tunes. Wait staff was WONDERFUL!! Helped made recommendations based on taste preference and gluten-free options. One of the manager has celiac disease and they took extensive safety measures and modifications to ensure a safe and tasty meal

Pleasant experience here. They have a separate fryer for their nacho chips. The waiter was new so had an older one come over to the table and he explained to me what was GF and which ones can be made GF (ie removing crispy shallots). The tortillas are corn based so no fears there.

Have eaten at the downtown locations many times with no problem. Servers at this location did not understand cross contamination in the fryer even after explanation. Definitely not celiac friendly!

Server intially seemed knowledgeable about celiac pointing out substitutions but then brought everything out on the same platter for myself and my no celiac friend. Just as I was about to bite in I noticed that none of the requested substitutions had been made for my tacos as well as an apparently safe vegan sweet potato taco actually contained breaded fried sweet potato. Server kept insisting vegan meant gluten-free and even checked with the kitchen. After she had checked with the kitchen I decided to take her word and ate part of it. Realized it was too good to be true. Sure enough was up all night dealing with the reprocussions.

After being assured multiple times that our meal was gluten free, they served us a quesadilla with a flour tortilla. When I questioned it, they sent the manager over to assure me it was gluten free. It wasn't. Spent the evening puking.
