This is the local grocery store. I was impressed by their selection of gluten free items. They had GF bread, cookies, bars, cereal, snacks, etc. Many of the brands I am familiar with from the states. Also, fresh food of course is always best and there's plenty of that too!
American style supermarket with a decently sized GF section of imported goods
This is a large grocery store that has a decent sized gluten free section with many of the familiar GF brands from the U.S. And of course, there are plenty of fresh foods too which are much lower cost than what I'm used to. In my experience, restaurants in Mexico were not very familiar with the terms 'gluten' or cross contamination. It seemed that some places use only corn tortillas so when I did see flour, I didn't take the risk and eat there. Always try to communicate and don't assume anything. As a backup plan, you can always buy groceries here and make your own food.
