One of my favourite Italian restaurants since it opened. Since being diagnosed as coeliac I can still go as they have multiple gluten free pasta shapes and gf sauces. Have never had an issue with the food and it’s all delicious. They even use a gf pasta straw in the cocktails if you tell the server you are coeliac.
Be so careful about this place! I told them I could not under any circumstances have gluten and guess what, in under an hour I was having a horrible reaction. I was rendered totally useless. They admitted to having special celiac pasta/ kitchen that’s different from the gluten free pasta which makes no sense, as I told them what I had going on. I went here with confidence and now I’m scarred from the experience. It was embarrassing, and a three day long ordeal.
Had to ask the server for gluten free options as they weren’t clearly stated on the menu- all sauces were gf and they had three gf pasta options, many sides were gf as well We didn’t have dessert, so unsure what was gf. Overall, a very lovely experience and the pasta was nice.
Staff very helpful with the menu. The Antipasto and cured meats plates were Gf along with the pasta sauces with 3 varieties of GF pastas.
The Ragu sauce was very good.
Menu would be better if it was clearly marked GF so patrons don't have to ask. The only clearly marked items is the type of GF pasta. Entrees and sauces were not marked so you must ask. When it's busy it's noisy so can be hard to hear..
Best of all though - no reactions. Will definitely go back.
Have eaten here twice as a coeliac and have had no issue. I ordered the gluten free pasta with the basic red sauce, just to be extra safe as the sauces aren’t labelled clearly. Beware that they actually have pasta straws - so you need to make sure you don’t accidentally end up being given one of those to drink your drink from.
