Great carbonara and bruscheta. Came Back and the caccio pepe and dessert were delicious.
Such delicious food!! I had a handmade pasta carbonara with nduja and burrata, it was a lovely difference to a normal pasta carbonara! Honestly so delicious, they have an entirely separate GF menu for you and prices aren’t too different to being a non GF. Staff very attentive and made sure that I was definitely the correct GF food.
Allergy sufferers be aware! Ordered a bruschetta off the GF menu and when it came it looked too nice to be GF! Eventually got the attention of the very unattentive waitress and she said no it’s normal! Advised I’d ordered off the GF menu. Got a shrug and snatched the plate away. My partner was half way down her pizza before my cold over salty over herbed bruschetta was brought back, sorry thrown back. No smile no apology! Partner just had a margarita pizza and said it was good but nothing to write home about. Service was poor at best. Maybe a bad night Sunday?? Double check what they serve you, even if you have ordered off the gf menu!
You can have everything gluten free on the menu, except for lasagna. Beer, starters, principal meal and dessert. 10/10 for the food. But had a terrible service from the waitress, it shows on the menu that we have to pay 15%, but if it was just on me, she would’nt had anything lol, she just doesn’t care at all about the service. +1 They have a seperate kitchen for the gluten free food!
Honesty, terrible experience. The staff were so rude and couldn’t care less about you. The carbonara wasn’t great at all, the GF fettuccine was still a bit hard and clumped in places. Also very pricey, charging a 10 euro service fee. Give this one a miss and find a better spot - I’m sure there are many to choose from!
What a weird experience. Start with the Pros: excellent gluten free range with a national certification that food is prepared separately to avoid cross contamination. Food was delicious. Cons: - We were taken to a table with one chair (for a table for two)… I had to get the second chair myself. - I was practically thrown a gluten free menu when I asked if they had a separate menu. - The staff were so rude. Instead of being pleasant, they were rolling their eyes multiple times at us and other customers. - We were not given any bread for the table (I usually can’t eat the bread as it’s usually not GF, but my boyfriend was disappointed they never served bread as we have been literally everywhere else.) We think you had to ask for bread to actually be served it. Unsure if there would’ve been an extra charge for it. - We were charged both a cover fee for the table (which is normal especially in Rome), but also a service charge which totalled on our bill to €10. They did not deserve any service tip whatsoever. I’ve never experienced service so poor and rude at a restaurant.
I went to this little place expecting a good experience. Ordered the gluten free onion rings because it’s something that is rarely offered. Also ordered GF pizza. The onion rings were heavenly, the pizza not so great. Wait staff were not very attentive, possibly because I was a woman traveling alone or maybe just because I was an American. Ended up with terrible intestinal pain within about 20 minutes after eating. I suspect they use the same fryer for all their food and I’m extremely sensitive. I probably wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on their safety measures.
LOVED this restaurant!!!!!! Denise was the perfect host. She was very knowledgeable in relation to Coeliac friendly foods. She told us the GF pasta was handmade offsite to avoid contamination and it was SO GOOD!! Rome is known for its carbonara and we ate here twice with no problems. All GF dishes were marked when brought to the table.
We had an awesome experience at this restaurant. We showed up mid afternoon and just in time to order pizza as they stop service around that time. Our sever was amazing, spoke perfect English and was very attentive. We have learned that the service you receive on other countries/cultures can be very different than our expectations from back in North America. I always find if you smile and learn to say thank you in their language that will get you far ahead. They have a complete separate menu for GF and it’s certified by the Italian GF association (see pic for more details). I’m highly allergic to wheat and react within 30 mins. We are there 2 hours ago and I just ate the desserts they gave us to take away, gf or course. (Apple pie and a cheesecake that had a crust). We had GF onion rings and fried mozzarella and then I had a gf pizza that was awesome. They wouldn’t let us leave without a complimentary shot of limoncello. They didn’t know about the Find me GF app so I educated them and they were so happy to hear about our community.
This app has made travelling all over the world an easier task. We find the best of restaurants at every stop we make. Keep leaving reviews because they help all of us out.
If you’re ever in Rome you have to check this place out!
Graci milli from Canada!
Just ok, service also just ok. Food was nothing special. Pizza was not available to us. Would not go back. They automatically take a 15% service charge on total bill.
The gf pasta is so good! They have a gf menu with tons of options! Friendly knowledgeable staff.
Nice place. Attentive staff. They have a separate operation for an all gluten free meals. Kitchen, cookware etc. We were a little early for dinner service but we had no problem waiting and started us off with drinks. The GF menu was excellent in the choices from Italian foods, steaks, sides like potatoes and fries. We started with gf onion rings and breaded fried mozzarella (whole round slice breaded as opposed to our fried sticks). I had a good margarita pizza, my husband had regular menu spaghetti bolognese and a second bowl of plain pasta and cheese, both of which were very good. The only thing was they had limited non alcoholic drinks. The still water was from a tap that might have been filtered but didn’t taste like it was, not mineral water and charged us for it as if it was mineral water. The only other option was soda or wine. I don’t drink soda.
Cute restaurant with nice staff. Ask you if you need a GF menu once you are seated which is great. Lots of options to choose from. I got a pizza and it was pretty decent. Crust was kinda average but not the worse I’ve had. Price was decent, paid 14€ for my pizza and it was quite filling. Would come again if needed.
Nice sit down option near Termini. Overall a little pricey and you don’t get sides with the main dishes (which seems to be common in Rome). Separate kitchen, fryer, and separate menu with many options. Opted for the salmon due to pasta/pizza fatigue and was not very impressed but was satisfied
