In Phoenix airport Terminal D. The website said gluten free pizza crust, but the cashier and pizza maker were very confused when I asked for it. The pizza kitchen is open for all to see....flour being thrown around everywhere! Even if they did have a GF crust, there would be no way to keep it away from the flour on the counters and in the brick oven. They do have some pre-boxed salads....that might be an option, but I didn’t look too closely at them. Overall NOT a GF friendly place to eat.
I got a cheese pizza + toppings. No toppings are listed as GF on the menu and I had to guess which were GF but they told me that they keep them in a dedicated GF space to avoid cross contamination. Good flavor. Crust was too thin and crunchy for my taste but that’s pretty normal for GF.
The cashier told us the pizza was cooked on the same oven as the rest of the pizzas and said “we have a sign over there telling you we can’t guarantee gluten free”. She did not offer to let us talk to a manager or chef or that there was any other option. We asked if it could be cooked on a pan and she just kind of looked at us which is when we gave up.
