Got glutened. I read the previous review here stating the chips were not gf. The server insisted they were done in a separate fryer. I got sick. The tacos were yummy but as a celiac i got so sick. I shouldn’t have trusted the server. My bad.

Delicious! I ordered the chicken street tacos with rice and beans. Told them I’m allergic to gluten and dairy so they gave me black beans instead of refried beans… not sure what was in then I couldn’t have. Hibiscus tea is excellent if you need a non-alcoholic option. I don’t think the chips are done in a dedicated fryer, but I didn’t have a reaction. The serve-yourself salsa bar is fun.

The food was fantastic, there are many GF tacos. The fryer is not GF and therefore the nachos and quesas are not celiac safe. They had prickly pear margaritas, which are fun!

Get the queso (quesadilla) you won’t regret it! My husband got tacos the first time we came and was disappointed but loved my al pastor queso so we came back to get it again this time he said it was like a 9.5 out of 10.

I love getting the big "quesa" turnovers, like a Mexican calzone made from corn flour then fried. They have tacos, a big salsa bar, and great margaritas. GF items marked on menu with lots of vegetarian options

My mind was totally blown. I am from Texas and this is NOT TexMex! It is so authentic and an amazing treat. Even the margarita was totally different then what I am used to having back home. I can see why Dinners, Driveins and Dives has been there.

Food was delicious. Portion sizes are huge. Celiac friendly ❤

Lots of GF options, including GF chips and a GF salsa bar. They were able to make my tacos both gluten and dairy free—and they were delicious! Will definitely visit this one again.

They have items designated as gluten-free on their menu and food is delicious!

I have celiac, a yeast, and dairy allergy and I have eaten here 3 times without getting sick at all. Yay!!! Everything gluten free is labeled on their menu, and the staff is very knowledgeable about what is in each dish. Even the chips are even gluten free!! They have an amazing salsa bar! Just don’t eat the creamy salsas, as those have dairy. I have taken 3 different people there with me and they all loved it too. 5 stars!!

This place is DELICIOUS and they have remade their menu; GF items (as well as vegetarian) are clearly marked now. I'm in love with the Quesas with are a cross between a quesadilla and a calzone but in a thick homemade corn tortilla. However I do get a little sick from the food on occasion, unsure if it cross contamination or just the greasy cheesiness of it all.
Waitress told me which things were gluten-free, but I got VERY sick after eating here :(

Delicious! Corn tortillas for tacos. knowledgeable staff.
There is no gluten free menu, nor are the items noted on the menu. I had to ask the server which items were safe and what their kitchen handling procedures were. She was willing to take extra measures for our meals. Although we didn't have many food options, the corn tacos we ate were good. The salsa bar looked great, but the chips were fried in gluten contaminated oil.
This was a little hole in the wall spot, looked sketchy. The insides not much better but has some nice art. The food was great! A fresh salsa bar with flavored like cilantro and strawberry salsa. I had a type of corn quesadilla with steak and Mexican cheeses, all GF. It was thick and puffy, tasty!
Note: this is called la santisma now. Wow, amazing. I wish we had good like this in Connecticut! We arrived late at night, coming directly from the airport. We were s little unsure if we were in the right place because the outside was dark and sketchy. But we went in and it was packed and the food was amazing. The horchata has pecans and fruit in it. I ordered the pork mole tacos and my husband got a steak burrito, both amazing. And they have a big salsa bar with incredible varieties. The radish and the smoked red sauce were especially good. No problems at all ordering gluten free!
Soooooo good! Best tacos we've ever had. We'll be back!
This place is great. Most of the the menu was gluten free and for the burritos they substitute out the flour tortilla with I think it was a corn tortilla bowel. I had the Santisma special tacos and my son had the steak quesadilla. both were wonder. Great friendly staff too.
I think the nama has changed to La Santisma Gourmet Taco Shop.
Excellent! Extensive salsa bar. Amazing. Did not have a separate GF menu or any notations on the standard menu despite the app stating otherwise. None the less, staff very helpful pointing out options which were most items on menu. Highly recommend!
Several GF options including the chips and salsa bar. Staff was helpful and food is really good.
Absolutely excellent Yucatan style Mexican. All the tacos are made with handmade corn tortillas. Fabulous fresh made salsas. Try it and you will love it! They also have burritos made with flour tortillas for those who are not gfree.
