Very poorly trained staff. You order, then take a seat. They have GF pasta, GF pizza, and other naturally GF options like rotisserie chicken. I asked the cashier if I could order a specific pasta dish with GF pasta. He said no. I was surprised. He asked a chef. Then he said we only have 2 types of GF pasta. I said, I know, I’m asking if I can get one of those with this meal, and if their Italian sausage was GF. He asked a different chef and came back saying it was fine (btw, the $9.75 dish became 12.75 with GF pasta, the highest markup I’ve ever seen). The meal was fine and I didn’t get sick, but I was nervous. Then I went to get gelato. I asked, which ones were GF. This kid says none of them. I was dumbfounded. I asked him to ask a manager. He said they all have sugar. I told him to go ask. A manager came over and said I could only have the orange sorbet. I looked at her speechless and confused. I asked her why she says that. She said all the others have dairy. I told her “do any of them have wheat?” And she said “OOH, GLUUTTEN FREE?!?” She said yes, you can have any of of the ones without cookies. I asked her what the ingredients were and decided on something.

I’m fine, so 3 Stars, but I have difficulty recommending this to anyone GF.

Downtown Chicago location near magnificent mike. Terrible experience. Would never go back. Very few gf options. Not at all accommodating. Terrible service. GF penne a la vodka. Sauce was tasty. Pasta was over cooked and all broken up. Big disappointment.

Do NOT go here if you have celiac. The staff is incredibly uneducated and actually willing to guess/lie about their knowledge. The gelato station staff told us that the ice cream has dairy so we shouldn't eat it and another said some have eggs so we should be careful. ??? We asked for their ingredient list and the safe flavours are clearly labelled gf...that's when both staff members said "oh is that what gf means? They had no clue. We then went to order take out pasta. They do have gf pasta. We asked the staff member to please check with the chef that the sauce was gf and safely prepared. She came back and said yes. We then asked if it was cooked in separate water and she said "umm...yeah". We weren't comfortable with her confidence so asked her to check with the chef again. She was clearly unimpressed however she went to the kitchen. She came back and informed us that all of the pasta is cooked together in the same water. No apology for her earlier statement. Do NOT risk going to this restaurant! We are so glad we trusted our instincts and kept asking questions.

STAY AWAY

went there last night and informed the server I had a gluten allergy.

we ordered caprese and requested the bread come on the side. at that point he asked if it was “severe” or not which we said it was. it came out with bread right on top of everything. we then got one without bread and ordered dinner that the chef confirmed could be made gf

pretty soon after i got sick, was sick all night, and will be for the rest of today.

Stay away if you have an allergy! this place is NOT friendly

It was advertised they had GF burgers, but they did not have GF buns. I did get their GF pasta and it was tasty and enough for 3 people.
