The coffee is THE BEST in Richmond, and there are plenty of GF food options, but they are pretty sketchy with the contamination side of it. The staff vary in their friendliness and knowledge when you question them. I suspect unless you have your bread toasted it's likely to be ok, but i'm never left feeling super confident about eating here. The sandwiches look great - but their gluten free bread is the crappy white dry crumbly kind so the salads are a better option. Stick to coffee and a "friand" by Nettie's Naturals - a great prepackaged mini "cake" made by a local GF/low GI/awesome baker.
The obscure location is to ward off those who don't belong! There was a serious lack of customer service or friendliness! They provided no information about the facility or their gluten free preparations and maintenance. It was a hipster hidey hole of a place; great for young adults. However, at 26 I felt very out of place! My egg sandwich was fine as far as gf bread is concerned, but I could have saved my money and made a better one at home. I'm not sure what was worng with their eggs, but the didn't taste real! I won't EVER be returning!
