Dedicated fryer, separate gf menu, knowledgeable staff AND the food was actually good! We ordered the nachos and the bacon cheese fries and shared with gluten eaters. The plates were cleaned! We were all happy and I didn’t get sick! Also can’t beat the ocean views! Highly recommend!
Our server enthusiastically shared that they had a family member of a coworker who was celiac. They went through everything in the kitchen to make sure the gluten free options were celiac friendly. Their gluten free menu (not up to date) had plenty of options to choose from. I opted for the bacon cheese fries. It was nice to be able to safely trust ordering fries.
I will say the server was extremely knowledgeable but upon asking her several questions I found out the fish (in the fish tacos) is made on the same grill as the chicken, which has beer in the marinade. Another option is a gf burger but they toast the regular gluten buns on the same grill as the burgers. These are all cross contamination areas that I personally do my best to avoid. I felt like this really limited a lot of the gf options to choose from. I ended up getting the nachoes because those are prepared in a different area of the kitchen. I didn’t have any symptoms and did appreciate that the server was able to inform me of all this.
I visited Landshark with my family while on vacation. Like other reviews I was impressed by the service and knowledge of the server. When I asked about the GF menu she said she could get me one but she also knew it by heart and recited all the items to me -there are several. I confirmed that the fries are in a dedicated fryer. I had the Siracha crunch burger on GF bun- best burger I've had in the last 9 years as the bun was soft. Fries were good too and I'm always just happy to have them. Husband (not gf) had fish and fries and was happy with his food too. Would recommend!
After we told the waitress that my son has a gluten/wheat allergy, she brought out a gluten free menu and stated the fries would come from a gluten free fryer. He had a burger with a gluten free bun and loved it!! Which is a big thing for my picky 10 year old!!
They had a separate gf menu. I have a seafood allergy so they noted that as well. Mine came out separately by someone with gloves on and it was marked with my allergies. I got the Caribbean burger and it was delicious. Gf bun was tasty and didn't fall alert like many. Fries were also gf in a dedicated fryer. Highly recommend!
I ordered the babyback ribs and fries. The food was just OK. In my opinion nothing to rave about. My husband is not GF, so he had regular fish and chips. His fish was still cold in the center. I'm not celiac but I'm really reactive and I didn't get sick from my food but I was not impressed and won't go back.
There is no indication on their website that they have gluten free options. I went in and asked if there was anything that they could fix gluten free. Turns out they have a gluten free menu. I had a burger with a gluten free bun and French fries in a dedicated fryer. Everything was prepared properly and it was delicious.
There was a wide variety of food options. We had bacon and cheese fry’s, taco nachos, and also spinach and artichoke dip. The food was so so good and our waitress was knowledgeable about my allergy. They also have a GF menu. This restaurant is right on the beach and was really great overall!
Went to Landmark twice last month. They have a gluten free menu. Delish! As a celiac, I felt very safe eating there. They have a gluten-free bun and a dedicated fryer for the fries. They even include drinks on the gluten-free free menu. My margarita was great. Highly recommend. Great food. Great atmosphere. You can eat safely outside with a view of the ocean. Perfection!
Our drinks and meals were delicious! My son and husband have Celiac Disease and my daughter has a gluten sensitivity. We ate Gf Nachos for an appetizer. My son had the fish tacos in lettuce wraps, my husband had a Philly cheesesteak with Gf bread and my daughter had a salad. Drinks were delicious! Waitress was fantastic and very knowledge. They had a GF menu!
First time eating at Landshark. I was skiddish at first due to reviews, but I double check and question anyway. I am so glad we ate there. We were provided a well experienced server, and she immediately told me what was GF and what could be manipulated into being GF. My husband (who is not GF) and I ordered the Caribbean burger, house salad, peal and eat shrimp, and bacon/cheese fries and split it all. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely eat here again!
Amazing burgers and I had a sage experience as someone with celiac! The gluten free bun was delicious and the staff was knowledgeable about what sides were gluten free as well. They do have a dedicated gluten free fryer for the fries but the chips are gluten free as well and taste delicious. My burger came out with a “allergy” stick which was reassuring and I did not get sick after eating it!
Aweful......They did not know what celiac was or gluten....Then when I asked to speak with Manager. The hostess rudely said to me me that "The manager is to busy to be bothered with this". That is inexcusable! This Hostess made me feel like there was no such thing as gluten or Celiac and I was making it all up! Avoid this place at all costs. As they definitely do not care about allergies!
The meal itself was great but where I had issues was with the sides. When I first got to the restaurant I asked the waitress about gluten free, she said everything that wasn’t breaded could be made gluten free and they had a separate fryer. Then after we ordered fries for an appetizer we were told the fries were not gluten free. If you have a pretty severe sensitivity like me I would urge you to be very careful when going here. Stick to a gluten free sandwich or salad at this restaurant.
Customer service was great. Asked for gluten free menu and waiter brought regular menu and told us what was gf or not. We ordered bacon and cheese fries from appetizers, which waiter said was gf. They were delicious. Fries are cooked in dedicated fryer. I ordered gf burger which came with a gf bun. As the bun fell apart I knew I had a gf bun. Burger was so so. I've had worse, I've had a lot better. My husband had non gf burger and said it was good. Then, 30 min after eating I was sick to my stomach and couldn't get to a bathroom fast enough. Then hour later husband said his stomach hurt. I don't think gluten was the issue. I think undercooked meat was issue since non of the kids got sick. They had hotdogs (not gf) and fries (gf).
Our waitress was very knowledgeable about gluten free options, and they have a dedicated fryer for fries and chips. She told me the artichoke dip had flour in it and knew what drinks were gf as well. They have gluten free buns. I was going to order the Caribbean chicken salad and she told me she could do it gf but there would be no pecans and the chicken would not be marinated. So that was helpful to know.
I felt very safe here and had no reaction. One of the employees was gluten free and he was very excited to point out that they have a dedicated fryer for fries and chips and that two of the pie options have a gluten free crust. They also had a separate gluten free menu with a good variety of options and the staff were very careful and had a good understanding of cross-contamination. I had the LandShark burger with the house sauce and fries with peanut butter pie for desert. Everything was very good and my non-celiac family also enjoyed their lunch.
