Nacho knows what is GF and how to keep me safe when ordering. I’ve eaten here a lot and never get sick. Make sure to convey that you have celiac and to make sure they watch for cc
I feel like I should help up the stars on this place. My husband likes to go here to get me quick healthy dinners when we both work late. He likes the paleo bowl, I like all the other bowls. It’s a good option if you want fast and vegetables!
Lots of GF options and delicious bowls served quickly. Nice outdoor patio. Good laid back place for lunch.
What's all the hype? Rather get a burrito at any one of Portland's great Mexican spots and not here.
Absolutely horrible. Service, staff was very rude, and disrespectful. Prior to ordering for my celiac son and I, I asked a slew of questions to make sure we could safely eat here. They said yes there was no risk of cc with the items. I was ordering.....I waited 20 minutes for our food to be made, while waiting I noticed they were using shared food bins for both gluten and gluten free meals, so I asked about what precautions were taken to avoid cc since I was not seeing any. The chef said sorry, they didnt notate it needed to be gf so none. I explained that I had made it very clear it needed to be gf, at what point the waiter told me "it wouldn't matter if it was noted gf, you should know better than to eat at a place like this, it's going to be cced and there is nothing we can do to prevent that." O explained that's why I asked so many questions and said my son and I had celiac. Her response was "then you should know better than to even come in here, you should know your never going to be able to eat at a normal restaurant only one thats dedicated gf" at which point I see them finishing up our meals and there's flour tortillas on top of our food! At that point I demanded a refund and very unhappily left with a very hungry little boy. Kitchen staff was very apologetic, however the waitstaff was very rude and condescending. Would not recommend to anyone!
The only thing they serve with gluten is tortillas. Very healthy food! They are quite knowledgeable. They’ll work with allergies! Tell them you’re Celiac. I wouldn’t trust the GF cookie as it’s cooked in the same factory as other cookies. Don’t have the corn tortillas as they’re cooked on the same grill as flour tortillas. I’ve eaten here numerous times!
Decent amount of gluten free options. I did not talk to a server directly or watch my food get prepared, but on my online order, I put Celiac disease in the memo and they seemed to know what to do. My bowl came delivered labeled “gluten allergy.” The bowl I had was just mediocre. I’d be interested to try other things.
I’m a super sensitive Celiac and have never gotten sick here. They also work around allergens and will even show you ingredients in a dish, so you can be super safe. As far as I know most, or all LP’s, have separate counters for tortillas. They are very careful. Very healthy and tasty meals!
Highly knowledgeable staff and very eager to explain menu options. Very sensitive to contamination issues. I ate here without any symptoms and will be back regularly. Delicious quinoa salad!
I'm a sensitive celiac and ate here successfully. Had a kale salad w chicken breast. Celiac kid had a build-your-own bowl. Both were really good. Staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination precautions. Would eat here again.
Good service, lots of GF options. Staff is very GF knowledgeable. Sort of a faster service not full sit down restaurant but quality food at great prices. Beer and wine available
Hundreds of meals eaten here by friends and family with oodles of allergies and none of them have fallen ill here. Delicious with options for every one. Try the Lebanese bowl or the Korean bowl. They even have gf dairy free cookies!
with more than a few locations quality sometimes veries but for the most part good food & usually very helpful or knowledgeable on glutenfree items & always very accommodating with menu item substitutions.
This restaurant has some really interesting flavor combinations in their bowls. I like places where there are things to choose from on the gluten free menu and I'm not stuck eating the same thing every time I visit out of fear. The food was delicious and as a person with celiac disease I was not sick afterwards and plan to eat there again in the future.
LP used to be a fun place to do lunch. Now, they've become more commercialized, standardized, and cookie cutter. I used to justify the price and quality for the atmosphere and originality. Now I'll spend less for more and just bring my own dino with me to dine out.
