Le Crocodile

Was excited to try Le Crocodile because of the reviews about the knowledgeable staff and safety precautions. The restaurant is located in a hotel known for weddings and is very picturesque. As other reviews stated, the servers are extremely knowledgeable and, although there is no gf menu, can point out everything that should be gf or can be made gf. The food also tasted great, though there are much fewer options if you’re lactose intolerant in addition to gluten intolerant/celiac.

Unfortunately, I have to warn anyone that is particularly sensitive to gluten that this place may not be the safest for you. About 45-50 mins after eating, I began experiencing symptoms of having been cross-contaminated. So while I do highly recommend the food here, I would also caution those with celiac especially.

Staff didn’t miss a beat when I said I had a gluten allergy. They marked the menu and only a few items couldn’t be made gluten free. They knew which sauces, bases, brines, etc to steer clear of. Feel great and the food was really good. Highly recommend.

Much of the menu is low key gluten-free, featuring food produced on gluten-free dedicated grills and fryers. Phenomenal and safe steak frite. Just make sure to ask. Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, knowledgeable waitstaff—pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
